Tickets Went On Sale For The New "Star Wars" Movie And The Force Was Not With The Internet

That is, Fandango and MovieTickets.com were having a really hard time keeping up.

Tickets for Star Wars: The Force Awakens went on sale Monday evening, and several movie ticket websites immediately crashed.

Fans were left refreshing pages on Fandango and MovieTickets.com, only to get page errors.

Trying to get these Star Wars tickets is so nerve wracking

The ticket-buying frenzy followed the release of the official poster and premiere of a new trailer during the halftime of Monday Night Football.

Some people picked up their tickets like it was no big thing.

Others were left out in the Hoth-like cold.

There's got to be a better way, right?

Star Wars ticket sales is a nice reminder that we apparently still haven't really figure out "e-commerce."

There's pretty much no excuse for the Star Wars Ticket Fail™ that's going on right now. Unless it's intentional to drive up demand.

    Hint: Try buying on mobile.
