Beyonce Knowles is one of the highest paid and most well-known artists of her generation. The former leader of the Destiny's Child pop group has far exceeded the notoriety of her former days. As a solo artist, she has scaled the heights of infamy; walking in the shoes of Michael Jackson and Whitney Houston. She is married to Hip Hop rapper and music executive Jay Z. In recent years, she has taken to family life and decided to have children. She has a daughter, Blue Ivy. What is Beyonce net worth? Her net worth is over £272 million ($350 million) according to Forbes Magazine's 'America's Richest Self-Made women' list. From selecting her name to the child's first picture, to how her hair should be combed, Blue Ivy has constantly been in the media. Recently, she attended the Grammys with both her parents. It is clear that she stole some of the spotlights from Queen Bey. Her father was in attendance, after being nominated for eight awards. His album 4:44 was nominated for the best rap album, the song of the year, the best rap the song, the record of the year, the best rap/sung collaboration, the best music video and the best rap performance. At six years old, Blue Ivy held up to the scrutiny of the media and managed to charm them with her every breath and whim. Beyonce Fashion Beyonce has her own successful clothing line, and she is constantly in the limelight. Every time she walks the runway or goes out to buy a carton of milk, her clothing choices are splayed all over the tabloids for her adoring fans. Recently she, along with her family, attended the 2018 Grammy Awards. Needless to say, she dominated the headlines. Her style choice, it was said, was reminiscent of the days of the Black Panthers. It a time when racial tensions are at the forefront of society and media, Beyonce naturally caused quite the stir, though it was not the typical onstage Beyonce Grammy performance. She wore purple lipstick and dark sunglasses, which complimented attractive and eye-catching silver earrings. Beyonce chose an exposed-shoulders black turtleneck dress with a large, opulent black hat. The outfit selection leading up the event all kept to the same theme and paid homage to the black panthers. Many said that this was Queen Bey's way of standing in solidarity with fellow African Americans. Beyonce's Father The relationship with her father has not necessarily been without its complications; however, recently her dad Mathew Knowles made statements about the singer's level of success, being attributed to her skin tone. Of course, such assertions would be globalized and cause many tongues weighing in on the topic. Matthew Knowles, who is also Beyonce's former manager, recently released a book called 'Racism: From the Eyes of a Child.' The book was primarily about his childhood and growing up in a time of rampant racism. He also shared about believing that Tina Knowles was a white woman, when he first met her. Matthew Knowles was quoted as saying, "When it comes to Black females, who are the people who get their music played on pop radio? Mariah Carey, Rihanna, the female rapper Nicki Minaj, my kids [Beyonce and Solange], and what do they all have in common?" he emphasized these lighter skin female artists were getting more airplay because of their skin color. Beyonce Fans On the weekend, one lucky fan got the scoop of a lifetime and nearly freaked out. Beyonce and JAY-Z were in attendance at Sheraton New York Times Square Hotel, and came upon a lucky grandmother in the hallways as they were strutting towards Clive Davis' famed pre-Grammys party. The lady in mention was Susan Monaghan, in her interview with Boston Globe, she was quoted as saying, "I was like, 'Oh, my God!'" as she recalled her reaction to the realization that she was inches away from music's most influential power couple. "I looked at her and all I could think was, 'No one is going to believe me. No one is going to believe me.'" Susan's family were in New York that night to support her granddaughter who had a gymnastics performance. Unfortunately for them, they were in the lobby downstairs, while the serendipitous grandmother was on the eighth floor at the same time as the power couple were making their way to their event. We can all conclude that if the picture was not taken, no one would believe the lucky lady. To charm the lovely awestruck grandmother even further, Beyonce said to her, "Don't worry, it's going to be okay." Oh to switch places! That was a golden dream for the Susan Monaghan. "I swear," Monaghan said, "I felt like I was hugged by an angel." Beyonce's influence has grown steadily over the last decade and the Lemonade singer has a loyal following, which is often referred to as the 'Bey-Hive'.
