Bernadette Peters Loves Dogs More Than You Do, I’m Sorry I Don’t Make The Rules

The animal adoption event, Broadway Barks, features a Broadway legend and adorable dogs–what more could you ask for?

Every year in Shubert Alley in the heart of Times Square, the Broadway community comes together for an event hosted by Broadway Barks, a nonprofit organization that promotes the adoption of homeless animals.

Broadway Barks was founded by best friends (and legends) Bernadette Peters and the late Mary Tyler Moore, both avid animal lovers.

The annual event, which has its 20th anniversary this Saturday July 14, helps hundreds of shelter animals find their permanent homes.

In 20 years, more than 2,000 dogs and cats have found their forever homes.

Celebrities who are also animal lovers attend the event, including one of Bernadette's besties Gloria Estefan. I don't know who's cuter—the dog or them!!
