Mr Phillip Moore is not your average Surgeon!!
Mr Phillip Moore, a surgeon in Ysbyty Gwynedd, Bangor North Wales, has become an internet hit since appearing in Welsh language documentary Ward Plant on S4C.
Born in a British colony in Barbados, Mr Moore had always spoken English, and decided to move to Gwynedd, North Wales. Gwynedd county has the highest population of Welsh langauage speakers in Wales and in a interview with BBC Radio Cymru, Mr Moore said of the Welsh language 'Before I started the job, I decided I had to learn.'
Mr Moore, who featured heavily in Tuesday nights episode of Ward Plant, found fame on the internet. Thousands of people viewed a clip from the show, which has been uploaded by the channel, on their social media pages.
On his new found fame, Mr Moore said 'I was amazed by the reception. But I was also very pleased with the people who have respected and appreciated my efforts.'
