When you're a kid, your brain is a sponge, soaking in new words and phrases, trying to understand their meaning.
Recently Jennifer Wright tweeted that, as a child, she believed adultery meant "pretending to be an adult."
This revelation prompted others to discuss things they misunderstood and it got interesting. Like someone who thought Watergate was a dam.
