So, four of us — Chrissy, Macey, Nina, and Sheridan — decided to try almost the entire makeup collection so you don't have to (NBD).

First up: the lipsticks. Since these are demi-matte shades, they aren't as drying as a true matte 'stick and feel velvety to the touch. They have a slight sheen and need a few layers to get the color to really pop.

We found that certain shades last a long time because they will literally stain your lips (hiiii, Magenta Minx), while certain colors (see: the darker ones) can get a bit patchy in the application process since they don't stick as well.

If you have fair skin and need a go-to nude lipstick, try this. Everyone else might want to hold off for a darker shade to get that true nude color.Buy it here.

Along with her lipsticks, KP will be adding four Katy Kat Eye mascaras to her collection in Black, Very Black, Very Black Waterproof, and Perry Blue.

We tried the Black and Perry Blue shades, and even though the spiral applicator is tough to get used to at first, it didn't smudge once throughout the day. *slow claps*

If you need a black mascara that will get the job done, this is definitely a safe bet. Nothing too crazy, but nothing too smudgy. Coming July 2016.

Blue mascara doesn't seem that wearable in theory, but honestly IRL it just looks like a slight hint of color, which we liked. Coming July 2016.

Most matte lipsticks = crusty butthole mouth. Katy Perry's matte lipsticks = not a crusty butthole mouth. Thank you, Katy Perry.

Macey: 4 out of 5

I thought the lipsticks went on pretty smoothly. Not all of the shades looked great on me, but a majority of them did, which I was surprised by. I’m into the demi-matte because sometimes matte gets a little too dry, but I didn’t really understand the spiraled shape of the brush on the mascaras.

Nina: 1 out of 5

These lipsticks belong in the kitty litter. Seriously, it’s worth it to spend a little more money on something of quality. These are very drying, and it’s really hard to get the full pigment in a few swipes.

Sheridan: 4 out of 5

Though I'm skeptical when any celebrity tries to do a makeup line, the colors were surprisingly great — not to mention the consistency. Usually matte is drying and flaky, but the lipstick felt velvety and smooth. What a teenage dream!
