    GOOGLE AI CHINA CENTER OPENS IN BEIJING

    Li Feifei, Chief Scientist of AI/ML of Google Cloud, announced the news at the Google Developer Day in Shanghai on Wednesday.

    Google announces that it has established Google AI China Center in Beijing at the Google Developer Day in Shanghai on December 13, 2017.

    The center is being co-chaired by two female Chinese researchers, Li Feifei and Li Jia. The pair are both leaders of Google Cloud Machine Learning.

    The new center will focus on basic AI research while maintaining close contact with the Chinese academic community.

    The two female scientists were appointed to lead the Google Cloud Machine Learning group last year.
