CBS News reported, the new law is an almost total ban and also states that, "The new law is the most restrictive anti-abortion measure passed in the United States since Roe v. Wade was decided in 1973". If you are unfamiliar with Roe vs Wade, it was a decision by the Supreme Court to no longer criminalize Abortion in 1973.
