Eddie Murphy Made An Uncomfortably Funny Joke About Will Smith's Oscars Slap At The Golden Globes

Hilarious or too much?

Eddie Murphy caused quite a reaction with the Will Smith joke he made at last night's Golden Globes.

The comedian was giving a speech after accepting the Cecil B. DeMille Award for his work in film and television, when he made a surprising joke about that infamous moment at last year's Oscars when Will slapped Chris Rock for making fun of Jada Pinkett Smith.

β€œI want to let you know that there is a definitive blueprint that you can follow to achieve success, prosperity, longevity, and peace of mind,” Eddie said. β€œThere’s a blueprint and I followed it my whole career. It’s very simple.”

β€œJust do these three things: pay your taxes, mind your business, and keep Will Smith’s wife’s name out your fucking mouth!”

Despite the backlash he received, Eddie said he really does have "love" for Will and Jada.

"In reality, I've worked with Jada," he told Entertainment Tonight after the show. "I love Will, I love Chris. I love Chris and Will, it's all love."
