Billie Eilish Made Her First Comment After Her Breakup With Jesse Rutherford

Billie reportedly split from the 31-year-old singer earlier this year.

Billie Eilish spoke publicly for the first time after her breakup with Jesse Rutherford.

Yesterday, the singer took to Instagram to confirm the news and to share where she and Jesse stand after the split.

"[We're] very, very good friends only," she said in response to a fan question about their relationship. "My homie forever."

Billie also commented on her current love life after a fan asked whether she was dating anyone new. She said: "NO SIRRRRRRR."

Billie, 21, had previously dated the Neighbourhood singer, 31, for seven months. They first sparked dating rumors in October of 2022, before making their red carpet debut the next month.

“It’s really cool, and I’m really excited, and I’m really happy about it,” Billie told Vanity Fair of their relationship. “I managed to get my life to a point where I not only was known by a person that I thought was the hottest fucking fucker alive, but pulled his ass!”

In May, it was reported by various outlets that they'd called it quits. A rep for the singer told Page Six at the time, “We can confirm Billie and Jesse did split amicably and remain good friends."

While the reason for the split is still unclear, a source told People, "All cheating rumors are false. Both are currently single."
