Okay so it's the 25th anniversary of what is quite possibly the most iconic sitcom of the 90s and yet I for one am SHOOK that this has not been previously discussed on a larger platform. So, we all remember the episode where they're all going on a ski trip but Ross can't go because he cheated on Rachel and it's 'her' trip blah blah yeah? And Ross is being his typical whiny self pitying man-baby but also rescues them when phoebe's cab runs out of gas... WELL - he goes to burden himself on Carol while the gang are away (and also totally lies about why he and Rachel split up but I digress) and whilst there receives Phoebe & Monica's SOS call which he is going to ignore but Carol persuades him to borrow her car and be the hero he thinks he is/probably just wants to piss Rachel off by showing up. It's important to remember here that Carol is particularly keen to get rid of Ross because a). He's a turd. b). He's eating all of the snacks she's lovingly made for Susan and c). It's her and Susan's *anniversary night* (sex anniversary is alluded to). So yeah, he goes and then HIS/Carol's car breaks down and he has to get it fixed... He takes it back to Carol and she comes to the door looking ~disheveled~... Now this is the cunnilingus joke moment we've all been waiting for. Ross asks her if she was sleeping - she responds 'uh nooo' in a very Cher Horowitz tone whilst PICKING SOMETHING OFF OF HER TONGUE/FRONT TOOTH. This was a pube. Susan's pube. Friends made a lesbian cunnilingus pube joke and we were too god damn blind to see it. Ross literally ate all their snacks, then interrupted the main course. I hasten to add that this was the mid 90s and I strongly believe that this joke wouldn't have got through the boring censor guys had they actually noticed it (I mean, Ellen got cancelled from her own show around this time after coming out). Anyway, yeah - Carol was chomping a pube ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
