34 Parenting Products That Are Reviewer Approved For A Reason

"Please don't ever stop making this." —One reviewer, and now you, too.

    1. An ingenious sandwich cutter and sealer so you can make your own Smuckers Uncrustables copycats at home without spending nearly $10 for a box. Prepare for your life to be *utterly butterly* changed.

Promising review: "These have been a GAME CHANGER in this house!! My son has always begged me for Uncrustables but my wallet didn’t agree with them. I LOVE being able to make them at home and customize them to exactly what they would like them filled with! I make two weeks' worth of sandwiches at a time and store them in sandwich bags in the freezer so in the morning during the school year we can just grab and go! Love them!" —Katherine Smaczniak

    2. A cradle cap comb that'll remove dry skin from your bubba's scalp ~oh so gently~ using soft rubber bristles and a fine-toothed comb.

New parents, don't panic. Cradle cap — aka seborrheic dermatitis — is a very common dry scalp condition that affects infants.

Promising review: "The pictures posted here are legit. It makes removal so much easier and gives more consistent removal than my previous method of washcloths or just scratching the cradle cap off with my fingernails. It’s amazing and gross and wonderful. My babe doesn’t even flinch when I spend 10 minutes clearing his scalp of all the goo. It seems to be soothing to him. I just apply baby shampoo, then brush a little with the blue brush. Then I slowly start to comb in sections all in one direction. Then I go back and forth in multiple directions. It’s shocking the amount of dead skin that comes off. I’ve even used it successfully in his eyebrows (he gets some cradle cap there, too). This is a KEEPER!" —ZMomUtah

    3. A clever sight word Bingo game; if you've ever asked yourself, "How do I take the frustration out of learning sight words and make it FUN?" then this game is for you.

Word board with chips, cards, and packaging
    Amazon

The set comes with 36 playing cards, 264 playing chips, caller's mat and cards, and a storage box. This version is a fun twist on the classic, but instead of calling out numbers, the leader calls out words (there are 46 most-used words), players search their cards for a match and place a red chip on the match. Once a player has covered the spaces on their card needed to win, they call BINGO!

Promising review: "Our first-grader was feeling really discouraged with her sight words and I've been trying to think of ways to encourage her and get her excited to learn things she doesn't already know. She loved this game! We played with the whole family and her 3-year-old sister even enjoyed playing (we show her the cards and have her find the word that matches on her Bingo card). I think this is a great way to make learning/practicing sight words fun! I am very happy with this purchase and I can see how it would be great for teachers in the classroom as well!!" —Jennie

    4. A bed rail fully capable of ensuring that toddlers who are ready to graduate to a "big kid" bed won't roll out in the middle of the night. It has thousands of 5-star reviews for a reason.

Reviewer's photo of the rail installed on their child's bed

Promising review: "This is a lifesaver literally and figuratively speaking lol. We are first time parents and made the biggest mistake of bringing our 1-year-old to our bed when she would wake up in the middle of the night two to three times. We wake up early and just decided to bring her to bed with us. Now she no longer wants to sleep in her crib SMH. She is a wild sleeper and fell from our bed twice. I immediately got my phone to order this online. We absolutely LOVE it!!!!!!! We don't have to keep waking up to see if she is near the edge of the bed or anything like that. These bed rails are long (wish they were longer) and of excellent quality! I have woken up and she is literally right on the edge and the rail is keeping her from falling. She weighs 26 lbs. Good quality and strong enough to hold a crazy sleeper!!" —Pseudopod

    5. A pack of silicone pouch lids that'll prevent them from squeezing pouches all over themselves, and on your rugs and couches. This clever lid boasts a flow-control valve that prevents spills, but still lets them suck on it.

ChooMee is a small biz based in Northern California, owned by a mom, that specializes in innovative products that solve everyday feeding challenges.

Promising review: "I am OBSESSED. I saw these on a TikTok and ran to Amazon...so glad I did! My toddler loves yogurt/applesauce pouches but started purposely dumping and squeezing the contents out. But these make it absolutely impossible for her to do that without making it difficult to eat! I tested them, and it’s SO easy to drink out of, but I was unable to squeeze anything out. 10/10 recommend. I’m definitely buying more" —Amanda

Promising review: "These are amazing! I bought two sets of them so I can keep some in our diaper bag (or in case we lose one). We use these every single day for our 12-month-old with her yogurt (Gogo squeeze) and her fruit and veggie pouches! Seriously, love them. We previously had yogurt/fruit all over because she would squeeze them. My husband accidentally stepped on the pouch with this on, and it still didn't squeeze out! Once your baby figures it out (ours did quickly), it's a game changer. I tried the pouch holders with the handles, but she just swung it around, and it still spilled out. This is what you want!" —Shem Slater

BTW, it's not just for kids; adults love it too and say it detangles and softens straight and curly (including 4a–4c) hair!

Promising review: "All I can say is WOW!!!!! This is by far the best conditioning spray I have purchased. I have spent a lot of money on the expensive 'miracle detanglers' and 'miracle brushes,' coconut oils and hours combing out big knots in my daughters hair when this is all that’s needed! Her hair is a disaster full of knots after the beach. I sprayed this on before going to the beach and it made all the difference in the world. Goes to show that the expensive stuff is NOT always the best. PLEASE DON’T EVER STOP MAKING THIS!!!!!" —G

It’s fairly sturdy and my baby seems to love splashing around in it. It’s recommended for babies that can sit up unassisted/ with minimal support. If you have an electric pump, it’ll take you about 3 minutes to inflate it." —Shaina Rivera

Promising review: "Oh my goodness these are a LIFESAVER. My 2-year-old pees a lot overnight and was leaking through his overnight diapers every night. His pants would get soaked and I would have to change him in the middle of the night or feel horrible letting him sleep in his own pee. Then I read about these booster pads so I thought I'd give them a try. It totally worked. My kid doesn't leak through any more. I would definitely recommend this for heavy night wetters." —Christine

Chandni Reddy / Buzzfeed, Amazon, www.amazon.com

I'm not sure who's more OBSESSED with our Liki Trike...my toddler or me? My active toddler, who absolutely hates being strapped into his stroller, loves that it allows him to sit upright and steer the handles (while I push him) making him feel like he's in control and going on an adventure. It has made trips to the park/mall/zoo so much easier because it is lighter than our stroller *and* folds up tiny taking up minimal trunk space. (We also took it on a flight recently and were amazed at how easily it fit in the airplane overhead bin!) My fave feature is how seamlessly it steers. Unlike other trikes, you don't need to awkwardly force it to change directions. In fact, my 5-year-old has no trouble navigating my 2-year-old around the park. The best part? My little one is so happy riding around on this thing that he's had barely any meltdowns when we're out and about. I'd say that's a huge win!

Get it from Amazon for $250+ (available in six colors).

    11. A pack of toilet seat covers you'll be SO glad you decided to carry with you when you're out and about with your potty-trained toddler, who insists on getting their hands ALL OVER gross public restroom seats.

Promising review: "If you're a germaphobe like myself, this is a must have in your diaper bag. The thought of placing my son or daughter on a public toilet with only a seat liner is disturbing especially since they're both little and still hold onto the toilet seat for support when peeing/pooping. These cover the toilet completely and even cover the lower part of the toilet where dangling legs and pants/skirts touch. My only complaint about these is that they are not flushable. It's difficult trying to gather the liner up (they are rather large) without touching the toilet or the possibly wet liner (because it partially fell in the water) and then scrunching it up to fit into a sanitary napkin bin. Other than that, these are great. Also, I don't use the adhesive strips at all since I have two little ones that usually need to go right away so we don't have the time to remove the adhesive backing. I usually just place the liner on the toilet and then carefully plop my kid on top and all's well." —Ting

    12. Melissa & Doug activity book with a pair of safe scissors that'll channel your destructive, er, busy toddler's energy into a creative activity that'll put their fine motor skills to the test.

A pair of yellow scissors and an activity pad
Reviewer's child practicing cutting a watermelon graphic from the activity pad using the yellow scissors

Promising review: "Scissors skills are important both in and of themselves and because it strengthens the hand muscles to be used for learning to write. My 4-year-old LOVES this book. We received it this week and she has used it for a couple of hours each day. Many of the pages are cutting things out and putting them together (four-scoop ice cream cone, pizza with pepperonis, the components to build a house or a car, puzzles). We've used tape or glue to put the components together. This book is interesting enough to have caught the attention of my older children as well, although I make them let her do the cutting. :D Would make a great gift as it is so unique." —Mom of 7

    14. A Haakaa manual silicone breast pump for catching every precious drop of ~liquid gold~ that would otherwise go to waste from one boob while nursing/pumping with the other. You may find yourself thinking, "This is the best $12 I've ever spent!"

The clear silicone breast pump and packaging
Reviewer's photo showing the stash of breast milk collected using the breast pump

Promising review: "I wish I bought this for my first child. About one week after delivery I started using the Haakaa while nursing to catch the let down. After baby feeds on one side, I use the pump to make sure I have completely emptied and have saved so much milk. Picture (above) shows three weeks of collection, which is about a gallon-size bag filled with frozen milk each week! I am not pumping between nursing, this is really just what I am catching with nursing. I really struggled with milk production on my first (probably started running too soon) but I am amazed at how much I have already stored up by using the Haakaa. I love this product. I already bought two more to always have one available when I am nursing." —L A R Amico

Promising review: "This was a lifesaver!!! My 4-year-old was getting up at 5:30 :( and we could not convince him to go back to bed. We found this clock and we're amazed at the results. My son loves it! He gets so excited when it turns green and he can get out of bed, or when he wakes up and it is green. It seems to have helped train him to sleep in longer. It is easy to set up. Our only complaint is the light from the indicator (red, yellow, green) is soooo bright. We tip the clock on its face so his room does not light up. He can still see the color, so it's fine. But I do wish we could dim it. Don't let this stop you from getting it though, it was worth every penny!" —JW

Our pediatrician even recommended the Frida over those little blue bulbs. I can suck more junk out, and it's so much easier to clean and sanitize. There is NO WAY any boogies can get back into your mouth when you use this product. The gross factor Iies just all in your head. If you have a kid — order this! White Diaper Genie stood next to a baby's changing table for scale
Diaper Genie with open lid showing blue bags inside

I can personally vouch for this pail. It has done an amazing job at keeping our nursery free of stench, despite my toddler and newborn's valiant efforts. Not even a whiff as we walk past — doesn't mean the smell won't hit hard when you open the lid, but that's about as good as you can get.

Promising review: "I have heard both sides of the Diaper Genie...whether it's worth the money or not. After using it for nine months, I am a full supporter! Babies poop A LOT and after giving birth sometimes just standing up takes all your energy. This will save you countless trips to the garbage can all day long. It contains the smell really well. We have only recently (after nine months) started having it smell every once in a while. This is due to his diapers smelling worse now that he is eating solids and because he doesn't poo as much, so the diapers sit longer. If we stay on top of changing it out before it fills up, then we can still use it at 9 months old. Buy it!!" —A.Clark

    22. A box of wart-removing pads that'll help get rid of pesky, painful growths. Stick it on just like a bandage (meaning there's a high likelihood these will actually stay put on active kids) BAM — warts gone!

Promising review: "This stuff WORKS!! My daughter had a wart on the bottom of her foot for almost a year. The doctor prescribed two different creams that both burned her skin around the wart and stung very bad. These little pads were perfect! They cushioned around the wart so she could run and jump and play without pain. They also were super sticky! I was so impressed! It also only took three applications and her wart was gone! I have been recommending this product to EVERYONE!" —Sheena Stevens

Promising review: "Worked wonders for my son. My son is young and scared of going to the doctor so I bought this for him to try out before making an appointment. These worked great for him. Since my son is young and VERY active I was afraid he wouldn't keep it on long during the day so I put one on him right before he went to bed. They are just like Band-Aids with a circle where the medication is. It was very easy to apply. Just peel and stick. I also used medical tape to hold it in place just in case my son moved a lot in his sleep. Then I had him wear socks while he had it on. In the morning we took it off just to see if it worked at all and it worked. It removed this 'huge black seed'–looking thing. My son said his toe didn't hurt anymore. On the second day I used another pad and it removed another black seed but this one was smaller. I used a total of four pads and his sore is gone. So glad we went with this product instead of taking him to a doctor." —Zachariah Knight

We just moved in with family, and they had a coffee table with super-sharp corners and I have a little one who pulls up on everything and is trying to walk. To say I was on edge is an understatement. My sister-in-law didn’t want an obnoxious baby proof item around her house, but these were so discreet she didn’t even notice that I had installed them. They are so soft that my little one started gumming on them to soothe his gums, LOL. I decided to give the Mira food jar a try after reading good reviews. The day I got it, I put it to work. I put very hot water in the container for about 15 minutes. Then I put in hot oatmeal. After five hours, the oatmeal's temperature was still over 100 degrees! This is far better than the thermos containers I have. I ordered another one." —K. Campbell

Promising review: "This is the only sunscreen I will use on my daughter from now on. Every time I use sprays or lotion she rubs her face and gets it into her eyes and her eyes get all inflamed for 24 hrs+. This product solved that issue and provided great coverage to boot. It was all I used on a recent beach vacation and my daughter didn't burn once. Plus it's easy to pack and lug around."—Lulu B

Promising review: "I was skeptical when I saw these in a BuzzFeed article but for so little a price, took the chance, and I'm SO glad I did! I had a cystic acne pop up and it hurt. I stuck one of the three different sizes over the spot in the evening, did my thing, and then went to bed. Got up the next morning and WHAT?! It was gone?! There was gunk all inside the patch. It was gross, scary...satisfying? I don't know what type of witchcraft this is, but I LOVE IT!! My teenage kids use them, and we've never been happier to see our acne disappear. And I'm a 49-year-old woman...didn't think anything could surprise me anymore, but this did! It's a wonderful product, a must-have for anyone who needs a way to get rid of a zit in less than a day. (I've ordered this product twice and will again.)" —Heather W

It is discreet and blends in nicely to your skin. It comes in three sizes to choose from, and it is made with tree tea oil, which I have found to be great in acne care." —Vanessa
