34 Parenting Products That’ll Make You Say, “Why Didn’t I Buy This Sooner”

A stroller caddy, moisturizing cream, and a foldable indoor slide and other cool things I guarantee you'll wanna buy ASAP.

    1. A pack of brightly colored stacking cups because they'll inexplicably become your babe's fave open-ended toy. Just trust the 70,000+ 5-star (!!!) reviews and the many, many reviewers who have said "this is the best $4 I've spent on a toy."

reviewer's photo showing the colorful cups stacked to form a tower
reviewer's photo showing the colorful cups nested inside each other and held together with a star shaped holder

Bonus: These have holes in the bottom for water play and come with a cute star ring to keep them together so they don't get lost during travel.

Promising review: "MVP in our toy collection!! Of all our toys, these stacking cups are the ones our 10-month-old reaches for first EVERY time. She is obsessed and has been since she was 4 months old! At first, the rims of the cups were easy for her to practice her grasp, but as time has gone on she has used them to bang together and, finally, to stack. They are easy to clean (I believe they are intended to be a bath toy, although we don't use them that way) and easy to throw in a diaper bag for on-the-go play. If we could only have one toy for her, this would be the one!" —Carmen Lewis

    2. A pack of soothing stick-on gel pads that'll come in handy during cold and flu season. They're sized to fit kids' foreheads and will provide cooling relief for up to eight hours. Reviewers say these alleviate discomfort and help bring down a fever.

The gel sheets in a box
reviewer's photo of their child in bed wearing the gel sheet on their forehead

    Each pack contains four sheets.

Promising review: "I can't rave enough about these gel sheets! They really help cool the temperature down and in my case, my daughter sometimes shows immediate (5–10 minutes) relief after I apply the sheet on her forehead. Each box contains four gel sheets contained in two separate packs. You can easily tear the packaging without using scissors, so that is a good thing about it. A gel sheet will last up to eight hours. I never had any issues of the unused ones getting dry or hard inside the original packaging. The gel sheet adheres pretty well to the skin of a child. It does not slide or come off even when the child sleeps sideways. It does not hurt to peel it off. My daughter is three and she likes when I put one on her. Mommies, stock up on them. They are good!"Gracie's Choice

Promising review: "My son had a fever of 102.9 earlier this evening. We still had hours before we could give any oral meds and we're getting concerned. Within 15 min his fever went down to 102.5 and continued to go down to 102.3. Not only did it keep it down but it helped us make it to the next dosage of oral meds and we were so relieved! We LOVE these and ALWAYS have them around the house for when our son gets a fever. They help bring the fever down in between doses of Tylenol. They also help bring down a high fever a few more degrees. Our house will NEVER be without!"Chuck

    3. And a sleek touchless forehead thermometer with a built-in sensor that measures in seconds. Added bonus: You can take your baby's temperature while they're sleeping.

    The forehead thermometer in white

Promising review: "This is a great thermometer — accurate, looks great, a must-have! If you have kids, forget about sticking a thermometer in their ears. I have four kids now and a thermometer is a must-have. Hold this thing close to the forehead, push the button in, and you get a reading in about one second. This thing looks good, feels good, and is accurate. We’ve used multiple thermometers in the past. The head scanner that you run across the forehead...no good. In-ear thermometers...accurate, but expect a battle. Rectal thermometers...very accurate, but expect a war. This is the easiest one out of all of them. We find it especially useful when we need the quick 'I don’t feel that great' check...i.e., man cold. Overall, highly recommend!."—BearDownChi1

    4. A leave-in conditioning spray for curly hair reviewers swear by for restoring their little one's curls to their former glory once more! It's also free from any toxic stuff including parabens, sulfates, and phthalates.

Reviewers say this spray will leave wavy or curly hair (from 2a–4c hair) shiny, soft, and bouncy.

Promising review: "I have been struggling with my toddler’s super curly hair. (My hair is hopelessly straight.) Bath time hair brushing led to meltdown level screaming — no matter how gentle I tried to be, y’all. It was constantly super tangled in the back where he shifted on his pillow at night. This spray at night before bed, and occasionally as a refresh in the morning, has COMPLETELY changed his hair. There’s no more fight to brush his hair at bath time! I just wish it were available in bulk because I will be buying this spray forever. It even helps my preteen’s wavy hair — she’s obsessed with it, too." —LDacy

    11. A pack of toilet seat covers to have on hand if your potty-trained toddler insists on getting their hands ALL OVER gross public restroom seats.

Promising review: "If you're a germaphobe like myself, this is a must have in your diaper bag. The thought of placing my son or daughter on a public toilet with only a seat liner is disturbing especially since they're both little and still hold onto the toilet seat for support when peeing/pooping. These cover the toilet completely and even cover the lower part of the toilet where dangling legs and pants/skirts touch. My only complaint about these is that they are not flushable. It's difficult trying to gather the liner up (they are rather large) without touching the toilet or the possibly wet liner (because it partially fell in the water) and then scrunching it up to fit into a sanitary napkin bin. Other than that, these are great. Also, I don't use the adhesive strips at all since I have two little ones that usually need to go right away so we don't have the time to remove the adhesive backing. I usually just place the liner on the toilet and then carefully plop my kid on top and all's well." —Ting

These fun interactive games will get the whole family talking and playing together. Love it! I did notice that on a couple of the cards my daughter, who’s 8 years old, had to read the card a couple of times or hand it to me to explain to her, but once I read the directions she was good to go. Overall a great purchase!" —Julie

Promising review: "I'm a single dad of a 6-year-old girl and combing her hair is the hardest part of taking care of her. She gets really bad knots in her hair. This brush is the only thing that has ever worked. Thank you so much. She even likes to comb her own hair now." —Nguyen P.

Promising review: "Miracle brush for wild toddler hair. My toddler has a mean case of the tangles every morning. I don't know what she does in the night, but she wakes up with a rat's nest on the back of her head every morning. It was like torture every morning to brush her baby fine (but dense) hair. I felt horrible. I tried everything and every kind of brush, to no avail. Finally, I found this one. I use a detangling spray and this brush, and she now actually enjoys getting her hair brushed! Her little ringlets are restored and her hair looks beautiful every day with minimal effort. I would buy this brush 10x over, just to not make her cry from the tangled mess. Highly recommend! (and always start detangling from the bottom up, that's a big help!)" —Chimney161

I have a VERY messy eater, normally we would have to undress her down to her diaper to have meals, and cleanup always took forever because she was covered in whatever she was eating. With this bib, we keep her fully dressed (it even covers part of her pants and her tray covers the rest) and clean up is so much easier, we just wipe her hands and face and slip the bib right off. It’s super easy to clean, I usually rinse it under the sink with a bit of dish soap and hang to dry, but once a week I throw it in the washing machine for a deep clean and it’s fared well in the washer and dryer! LOVE this bib!!." —Heidi L Payne

    32. car baby monitor that's a cut above the regular ol' baby mirror. It provides a crystal-clear view of your bub from the dashboard. A game changer for anyone who is fully aware of how painful it is to pull over to check on a crying baby at every stoplight.

PSA: It goes without saying, but please keep your eyes on the road.

Promising review: "Best. Purchase. EVER! I had seen this camera on TikTok and immediately purchased it. I hated those stupid mirrors because it was so hard to see my son! I have four kiddos and I wish I would’ve had something like this with my older three! It gives such a great peace of mind being able to actually see him in his seat! It’s easy to install, has great picture quality! I’d recommend this to any and all parents!" —Dallas Conrad

    33. A box of Avarelle hydrocolloid patches with a blend of tea tree oil and calendula oils that'll suck out all the gunk and shrink zits overnight. It'll become your secret weapon to help your teen (or you) combat breakouts.

Promising review: "I was skeptical when I saw these in a BuzzFeed article but for so little a price, took the chance, and I'm SO glad I did! I had a cystic acne pop up and it hurt. I stuck one of the three different sizes over the spot in the evening, did my thing, and then went to bed. Got up the next morning and WHAT?! It was gone?! There was gunk all inside the patch. It was gross, scary...satisfying? I don't know what type of witchcraft this is, but I LOVE IT!! My teenage kids use them, and we've never been happier to see our acne disappear. And I'm a 49-year-old woman...didn't think anything could surprise me anymore, but this did! It's a wonderful product, a must-have for anyone who needs a way to get rid of a zit in less than a day. (I've ordered this product twice and will again.)" —Heather W

Promising review: "This is really a must-have in your medicine cabinet. We have two teenage daughters at home, and they both use it anytime they have a pimple. It is discreet and blends in nicely to your skin. It comes in three sizes to choose from, and it is made with tree tea oil, which I have found to be great in acne care." —Vanessa

Milk Snob is a small biz based in Texas started by a mom, who set out to create a multi-functional nursing cover that would stay put, unlike the good ol' blanket.

Promising review: "The Milk Snob goes on my top 10 list of newborn must-haves. Protects from wind and weather, and keeps germs and strangers away. Baby is 4 months and still use it every where we go. The fabric is very stretchy and comfortable. It's the best way to nurse in public places. I've also used it in a pinch as a blanket. I originally purchased a similar product that was a bit cheaper and ended up buying the Milk Snob after because the cheaper fabric was not very stretchable or soft, and the fabric looked okay on the outside but not the inside. The Milk Snob can be inside out and other than the logo, you'd never know. So glad I went ahead and tried the Milk Snob. Perfect gift for expecting parents too." —The Acelars
