What Kind Of WFH Roommate Are You?

It's 8:30 AM on Monday. What are you doing?

Someone sends you an unexpected IM, what do you do?

It's lunchtime, what are you having?

You have a video check in with your boss, are you ready?

It's breaktime, what do you have to share with your roommates?

Done for the day and you're the first to the TV, what do you put on?

We're doing delivery tonight! What are you ordering?

Are you ready for this to be over and go back to work?

You are the creator of this quiz! You work with insane people and always have lots of crazy stories to tell. You talk through everyone else's Zoom calls and are out of the loop on all things alumni affairs. You constantly complain about exercising and cooking but never actually do either. You may spend a large majority of your day looking for Buzzfeed quizzes, online shopping, and playing sims, but no one you actually work with needs to know that. At least your sister has a cute dog you can show your roommates pictures of.

So maybe you aren't downstairs and logged in by 9 AM every day, so what? You're the glue holding your department and your house together. Sure, you abandon your roommates for weeks at a time, but at least they have a chance to catch up on some cartoons. You are the Mom of the group that just wants to sit in the sun or go for a nice, rainless walk, not have daily hellos and webinars.

You are truly the dream co-worker. You work hard and make sure everyone stays connected and is up to date on your office happenings, including your roommates, who do not work in your office. You have endless positive energy and patience, even when your credit card is declined every day for four months. While some of your roommates might spend time complaining about exercising and cooking, you are actually doing it, while listening to your boss explain her medical history. You have a car and are therefore an invaluable quarantine buddy.
