What Plant Are You Based On Your Personality?

You're always up with the latest trends, Sage, and always enjoy showing off your keen sense of style. You're very true to yourself and know what you want in life. Out of your friend group, you always are the one to confide in and people put a lot of trust in you. You go sage, keep on keeping on.   
P.S. Sage comes from the Latin word salvere which means "in good health”. Traditionally, sage was used for as a sacred herb and was burned to ward off evil. Today, in many cultures it is still used to cleanse, however it is also incorporated into many food dishes as well!

Just like the leaves of mint, you are full of flavor and have a bright personality! You are always down for a challenge and love to work hard when you're doing what you love. As hard as you work, Mint, remember to take time and relax with friends and family. We all know how much you love some down time to have a good laugh with your favorite people!   
P.S. Mint leaves contain pulegone and menthol which are the reason for the smell and "cooling" effect that mint has. In the early days Romans believed that eating mint would increase intelligence. Today, most of us know mint from peppermint patties or girl scout cookies!

Basil, you live a very healthy lifestyle and are always up for a good workout or finding a new health conscious restaurant (Not to say you don't like a good dessert every now and then, because really, who doesn't!). You keep busy on a daily basis, always looking for the next challenge but you like a vacation every now and then too to get away and recharge. Friends and family really look up to you Basil, because you are strong, friendly, and always there for others when they need you. Always stay strong and confident Basil!   
P.S. Basil is known as one of the great culinary herbs and is used in a large portion of Italian dishes. It is also is a good source for vitamin K and manganese!

You have a cool and calm air to you Rosemary, and you always like to go with the flow. Friends and family regard you as the one that always has everything effortlessly together. You are happiest when hanging out along the coast or where the beach is in sight. Keep doing you, Rosemary!   
P.S. The Latin for rosemary (rosmarinus) translates to "mist of the sea" because it is found along the coast in the Mediterranean. In the wild, rosemary can grow up to 5 feet tall! As one of the more pungent herbs, rosemary is used in many things such as cosmetics and food dishes.

Just like that of lavender, you have a calm personality and enjoy relaxing with a good book and some nature in your free time. However, when your friends have a moment of spontaneity, you are always down to go on an adventure! You tend to keep in drier climates as rain and humidity aren't really your thing. Stay bright and beautiful, lavender!   
P.S. Lavender was used during the Black Plague to attempt to ward off the disease. Today, sage is a great multi-functional plant that can be used as replacement drier sheets, aid for sore muscles, or even as a tea!

Thyme, you are strong, courageous, and always stand up for what you believe in. Your family and friends always look to you for help and you are always willing to lend a hand. Don't be afraid to let others help you every once in a while though! As independent as you are, it;s okay to ask for help sometimes. Keep staying strong and beautifu, Thyme! 
 
P.S. Thyme comes from the Greek word thumus, which means courage. Knights would even wear thyme on their armour to symbolize their courage. In Ancient Egypt, Thyme was used for the process of mummification. Today we use thyme for many dishes, many of them being Italian dishes!
