Winter Rum Cocktails So Easy You Can Make Them Blindfolded

So we did! Take your bartending to the next level with Captain Morgan.

Cocktail-making may look like a fine art, but we know that knocking up a tasty tipple is a lot easier than you'd think.

(And we looked pretty darn cool doing it too.)

OK, let's start with something easy. A winter twist on an old favourite.

1. Fill a glass with ice.

2. Pour 50ml Captain Morgan Original Spiced Gold, 25ml lemon juice, and 10ml sugar syrup into the glass.

3. Top with soda water.

Let's try another starter for 10: a cranberry classic.

1. Fill a tall glass with ice cubes.

2. Pour 50ml Captain Morgan Original Spiced Gold and 125ml cranberry juice into the glass.

3. Squeeze in some lime.

4. Garnish with a lime wedge.

Getting the hang of it? Then grab your tankard, ready for this winter shandy.

1. Fill a glass with ice.

2. Pour 25ml Captain Morgan Original Spiced Gold, 150ml lager, and 100ml lemonade into the tankard.

3. Stir thoroughly.

4. Garnish with lime.

Right, let's kick things up a notch. Get your shaker ready...

1. Fill a shaker with ice.

2. Add 25ml Cîroc Vodka, 50ml Captain Morgan Original Spiced Gold, ½tsp honey, ½tsp water, and 17.5ml lemon juice into the shaker.

3. Shake until cold.

4. Strain the mixture into a tall glass filled with ice cubes.

Mmm... Rum and ginger beer will leave you warm and toasty.

1. Fill a shaker with ice.

2. Add 50ml Captain Morgan Original Spiced Gold, 20ml lime juice, and 20ml sugar syrup into the shaker.

3. Shake until the surface of the shaker feels chilled.

4. Strain into a tankard over ice.

5. Top up the drink with 50ml ginger beer.

6. Garnish with a cinnamon stick and a lime wheel.

An espresso martini? Blindfolded? Surely not!

1. Fill a cocktail shaker with ice cubes.

2.Pour 25ml Captain Morgan Original Spiced Gold, 25ml coffee liqueur, 25ml sugar syrup, and 25ml espresso into the shaker.

3. Shake until cold.

4. Strain into a martini glass.

For an extra festive treat, take off your blindfold and heat this up when you're done.

1. Fill your tankard with ice cubes (trying not to get them all over the table).

2. Add 50ml Captain Morgan Original Spiced Gold and 125ml orange juice.

3. Garnish with an orange slice.

Have a big crew to satisfy? Then this rum punch bowl will get the party started.

1. Start by pouring 50ml Captain Morgan Original Spiced and 25ml Captain Morgan Original Rum into the bowl (we've made a single serve here to show you how it's done).

2. Add the 50ml apple juice, 20ml lemon juice, 50ml ginger beer, and 1 dash of angostura bitters.

3. Give it a hearty stir.

4. Place the punch bowl in the fridge for 2–3 hours to chill.

5. Pour into individual glasses, over ice.

Forget candles. This is the best way to make the house smell like Christmas.

1. Pour 50ml Captain Morgan Original Spiced Gold, 80ml apple cider, 2 dashes angostura bitters, 3 star anise, 4 cloves, and 2Tbsp of sugar into a saucepan.

2. *TAKE OFF YOUR BLINDFOLD* (Don't worry, it's only to do some hot stuff. It's not cheating – promise!

3. Heat until the sugar has dissolved.

4. Pour into a glass.

And let's close the night out in style with a champagne cocktail.

1. Fill a cocktail shaker with ice cubes.

2. Add 25ml Captain Morgan Original Spiced Gold, 25ml Smirnoff Gold, 20ml lime juice, and 20ml sugar syrup into the cocktail shaker.

3. Shake it.

4. Shake it some more.

5. Shake it reeeeal good in the knowledge you look pretty badass right now. (And until cold.)

6. Strain into a tankard over ice.

7. Top up the drink with 40ml of champagne. Voila!
