Not only is it number 1 for the "Top things to do in Glasgow" list on TripAdvisor, it's FREE! Located in the West End, Kelvingrove Art Gallery offers hours of wandering round paintings, exhibits and interactive activities.

£15 - The Grovesnor Cinema

The classic romantic date, going to the pictures! But The Grovesnor is not your typical multiplex cinema. Located in Ashton Lane, the small cinema offers comfy couches as a way to relax and enjoy a good flick while cuddling up to your date. At £7 per ticket for students, it's perfect if you aren't planning to spend much but you want some added romantic value.

£18 - Partner Skating Lesson & Roller Disco

RollerStop, Middlesex Street, are putting on a special Valentine's themed event on the 11th of February for couples. For students, there is a special price of £9 per person (or £6 each if you have your own skates!) Tickets are limited so grab your's here!

£20 - Ryze Glasgow

Walking distance from Kinning Park Subway station, Ryze is an indoor trampoline arena which also offers games such as dodgeball. This is a great idea for a couple who like to keep active together. Remember to take your student card as you'll get a 25% discount reducing the cost to £10 each (which includes £2.50 for the special grippy socks you need).

At £12 each for students, that not only gets you a slot in the planetarium but also a ticket to explore the rest of the Glasgow Science Centre for the whole day!

£40 - Seven Deadly Sins by Club Noir

Every year, Club Noir put on an alternative event for Valentine's Day and this year, it is no different. On the 11th of February at SWG3 in the West End, Club Noir are putting on a night that includes a variety of acts from aerial acts to fire perfomers. The night will be hosted by the infamous Glasgow comedian 'The Wee Man' along with music from multiple DJs. There is even a dress code which is listed on the event page making that clear that trainers and jeans are not acceptable!

£50 - Escape Room Glasgow

This will test your trust in each other and maybe will let you get to know your other half a bit better as you are challenged with various puzzles to escape a puzzle room. Escape Glasgow is located on Wellington Street in the centre of town. If you use the student discount code "STU49" when booking it will reduce the cost by £17 making the total £49 for both of you.

Money is No Worry - Loch Lomond Seaplanes Flight

If you don't have to worry about a budget, it's unlikely you are having to worry about getting a cheeky student discount then. In that case, if you travel a little bit north of the city to the bonnie banks of Loch Lomond, you'll come across a floating plane. The 40 minute flight will cost you £174 for two but is said to be well worth it.
