How "Normal" Was Your American School Experience?

A lack of gun control in response to school shootings in the US has created a new "normal" for students. It's sickening.

Content warning: This post includes discussions of mass shootings, including the recent ones in Uvalde, Buffalo, and Laguna Hills.

The horrific shooting at an elementary school in Uvalde, Texas came just 10 days after the shooting in Buffalo, which was followed almost immediately by the shooting in Laguna Hills, California.

Uvalde is now the 27th mass shooting to take place at an American school in 2022 (so far). We're not even halfway through the year. And instead of lawmakers passing gun control legislation to try to prevent such school shootings, the job of protecting students and teachers has fallen...on the students and teachers themselves.
