If you're wondering whether it's worth shelling out money for this bad boy, keep in mind it has a whopping 14-cup capacity, so if you really hate chopping vegetables, this will hold a garden's worth.

Promising review: "This food processor is a beast! Forget wasting time chopping and dicing. You can even put cheese in here. I'm glad I got the large. I cook a lot and it really has helped me save time while making dinner. It's expensive, but totally worth it. I'm buying another for my parents!" —Tori Powell

Promising review: "This thing really comes in handy when you need some veggies diced up fast. I showed it to my wife and after the first use we both loved this thing. We've diced onions, firm Roma tomatoes, peppers, and other veggies. Great for making a quick garden salsa or dicing a large onion for a big batch of chili, or prior to sautéing some veggies. So impressed with it we got one for my mother-in-law and another for a niece who runs a small restaurant. Also nice to have a measuring grid on the side to gauge quantities." —Conrad

If my dinner is boring or seems like it needs a little extra "oomph" to it, I'll throw in an egg from this too. Some reviews note that the alarm on it is a little loud, but the new models have significantly decreased the volume and sing a little song instead!"

Promising review: "I have always hated having to wait to boil water. I tend to get sidetracked so can't count how many times I would forget I had eggs boiling until I would start hearing popping sounds to then find I left it so long that all the water had evaporated out and the eggs were burnt in the pan...lol. This little contraption is so cute and fast while making perfect boiled eggs. No more boiling water and the little alarm sound is cute." —CandygirlnKC

    6. A Philips compact pasta maker if you love a fun cooking project...minus the whole "rolling out dough by hand" thing. This handy device does all the work for you, so if you're anything like me (a pasta fiend), it'll quickly become the most beloved thing in your kitchen. It comes with shaping discs for spaghetti, fettuccine, penne, pappardelle, tagliatelle, angel hair, and lasagna — mamma mia! Plus, there's an included recipe book for meal inspiration.

Promising review: "This has been so amazing for me, I can easily make “top ramen” within 15 minutes that tastes better and in bigger batches. I was nervous because I saw some complaints of dough issues but I think that has to do with users not weighing and instead relying solely on the measurement markings of the included cups. I initially made the mistake of adding “just a little bit extra” water when I thought my dough was too ‘crumbly’ or dry; but quickly learned — this is absolutely the consistency you want, as the machine then pressed and makes the pasta using this mixture. Two words for you: de-licious. The unit is incredibly slim and fits neatly in the counter or in a cabinet for storage." —Omega

Get it from Amazon for $182.94.

    7. Or a nonstick microwave pasta cooker to use on nights when you're craving ravioli but the thought of waiting for water to boil seems like cruel and unusual punishment. Pop it in, wait 12–13 minutes, and ta-da! Perfectly al dente noodles, every time.

Promising review: "I love pasta, but I hate *making* pasta. Too many pots, pans, strainer, cleanup, etc. Forget it. And after a long day at work when I am craving pasta, all I want to do is eat right away. This pasta cooker cooked pasta better than I have ever cooked pasta in my life. I am Italian, so as you can imagine I have eaten (and made myself) a LOT of pasta. This product is a game changer. It was extremely easy to use, cooked quickly, and it came out PERFECTLY. Not over cooked, a little al dente, but not firm. Perfection. Now I have no excuse not to cook pasta for myself (and my husband) practically every day. BUY THIS. It will change your life." —Hope Lanza

Fresh herbs can make all the difference between decent meals and stellar ones, and these scissors have five blades, so chop chop!

It also comes with a comb to clean the leaves out from between the blades!

Promising review: "I like to grow herbs and use them in salads, soups, and many other recipes. I received these herb scissors as a birthday gift, and can't believe how fast and easy it is to cut up cilantro, basil, parsley, lovage, etc. My husband tried them today too for the first time while making guacamole, and found that slicing the cilantro went very quickly. I can't recommend it enough, 15/10, no notes.

It's got a kick, yes, and while I'm a big fan of spicy food, the thing I love most about this chili crisp is that it also has great flavor that doesn't get overpowered by the heat, which happens with so many other spicy sauces. That deep savory flavor comes from ingredients like fermented black bean, shallots, mushroom powder, ginger, and seaweed, so it's no wonder it's become my go-to pantry staple when I want to zhuzh up my dinner in a matter of seconds. Plus, evenly chopped food just tastes better than haphazardly-jagged pieces.

GIF of reviewer slicing a piece of paper with the knife to demonstrate how sharp it is
reviewer photo of the knife on a wooden cutting board

Promising review: "I have a number of knives, and while this is by no means my most expensive or fancy knife, it has become the one I reach for the most, especially for veggies. It's nice and solid and has a good weight for chopping. I like that the length of the blade isn't as curved as a classic chef knife but not totally straight like a cleaver. It just feels good to use for fast chopping and mincing — since it is more wide and square it slides along the knuckles well, and since it's a bit heavier it feels like it doesn't take much effort to get quick, clean cuts. Nice to find a knife I like so much for this price." —Scooter

Another promising review: "I bought this for my husband; he is a professional chef. He absolutely loves this knife. The quality is great, and the price is reasonable for a chef knife. We originally purchased a different one that was more expensive and after a week of using it started getting rust spots. He has been using this one now for two months and loves it. No rust spots." —Tara L.

Another promising review: "Great size and so easy to use. Made pierogi and they came out great. Just use the open circle to punch out the dough, then put the dough circle on top, add filling, and fold! I found it worked best when you stretch the dough circle just a little to make sure the edges line up, and my recipe suggested wetting the edges slightly to help make a better seal. Also you don't need quite as much filling as you might think. I popped it in the dishwasher (top rack) when I was done and it escaped clean and unharmed. For the price it was well worth it. Don't want to imagine how messy everything would have looked if I had tried with just my hands." —Emily

Promising review: "I absolutely love this griddle! I live in apartments and have an outdoor grilling phobia ever since I burnt my bangs many years ago! I mainly use this unit as an indoor grill and a panini press, pretty much daily. I love how it doesn’t heat up my small kitchen at all! It comes with a smaller compartment to fit limes and a larger one for lemons!

BuzzFeed Shopping's Heather Braga says: "My mom got one of these and continues to rave about it to me each time she uses it. I wasn't sure what all the hype was about until I watched how easily she was able to squeeze a slew of lemons for a recipe she was working on. Easy peasy lemon squeezy."

Promising review: "I was surprised at the heft of this juicer. It is a heavy duty, metal utensil. My only regret is that I have been squeezing lemons using a reamer for all these years when I could have been using this wonderful lemon/lime squeezer. It made juicing lemons fast and efficient. I couldn't believe how much more juice came out of a lemon when I used this squeezer. And don't even get me started on trying to squeeze enough key limes to have juice for a pie. Before this squeezer, I spent about 10 times longer and wasted so much elbow grease on those tiny limes! Those little limes were actually the reason I looked for something that would be more efficient — and this squeezer does the job beautifully." —A. Goodman

Promising review: "A nice, solid, high-end steamer. Goes from zero to steam in 30 seconds and cooks evenly. So nice to see food clearly during the cooking process, and cleanup is easy with the glass container. The inner metal tray made it easy to arrange and then lift out cooked food. I cranked through multiple batches of steamed vegetables almost as fast as I could chop up each new batch. I'm glad I chose this over plastic-based products." —BW

Oh, and there's also a small cleaning brush that'll make getting those little stuck-on bits out a whole lot easier.

Promising review: "A garlic press??? Do you need a garlic press? The answer is YES, YES, YES!! This is a great garlic press combo set. It is made of very good, strong aluminum construction. It feels good in the hand, nice weight, and very easy to use. I have used it four or five times. It is designed with two holes, one that crushes the garlic, the second to slice the garlic. Both holes work great. The handle is nice and sturdy, easy to use. The durability factor is great. It comes with a little brush and a little cleaning tool to assist with cleaning. It makes cleaning fast and easy. It does a great job with any garlic that is stuck in the press. It does well in the dishwasher, too. I love the silicone peeler tube. I can’t believe I have never used a tool to assist with peeling. I guess it is better late than never!! This is a great press, of great quality, at a great price. It works great! This garlic press has saved me so much time in prep, making cooking a little easier. I will get one for my sister. She would love this, I know I do!! Great buy!" —Dee's World

Just know that this oven heats up in no time and works like an absolute ~charm~. I was on Thanksgiving hosting duty last year, which I was looking forward to — until my oven decided to completely break down the week leading up to the holiday 🙃 LUCKILY, my mother-in-law let me borrow her Breville toaster oven, which we were able to bake every side and dessert in — essentially, everything but the turkey (which she ended up cooking) had a turn in this thing. And not only were we able to cook everything on our original menu, nothing was lost in terms of flavor or texture, and you'd never know we hadn't used a full-sized oven. In fact, the apple pie I baked in it (pictured) might've been the best I've ever made! If there was anything I was most thankful for that year, it was this miracle machine. P.S. While it heats up super quickly, the warmth stays contained to the inside rather than making your whole kitchen feel like a furnace.

Promising review: "Worth every penny! I was so tired of waiting for what seemed like forever for my big oven to preheat. The Breville Smart Oven preheats in a fraction of the time. In my opinion, it was worth the investment for just the amount of time I save when I want to throw something in really quick. Frozen pizzas fit perfectly. It's great when all you want to do is bake a few slices of garlic bread while you're making spaghetti but don't want to wait 20 minutes for your big oven to preheat." —TheMrszzz

Central Coast Woodworks is a small biz based in Orcutt, California, that makes tortilla presses you'll want to keep out on your counter at all times just so you can admire them. Keep in mind that the tortilla press is meant for making corn tortillas, not flour ones.

Promising review: "I’ve been watching the Mexican cooking class on MasterClass and after the lesson on tortillas, I knew I wanted to try to make my own. I’d read you can use two cutting boards, so I tried that first, and while it worked, it definitely wasn’t quick and easy. So I looked online to see what I could find. In the class, she uses a wooden press, so I knew what I wanted, but I did look at the cast iron ones as well. The reviews on the cast iron presses would have comments about the handle breaking off or other issues with the press, so I decided to look for something I’d enjoy using and that would look nice on my countertop. I knew I wanted this one as soon as I saw it, and the reviews just confirmed it. I could hardly wait during the week it took to receive my order, but it definitely was worth the wait. We’ve used this every day since receiving it and absolutely love the results. The tortillas come out perfect every time." —T. Bramhall

    30. And finally, a stainless-steel meat tenderizer that won't just take your cut from tough to succulent, it'll also puncture the meat with tiny holes that allow marinades to be absorbed in as little as five minutes while reducing cooking times by up to 40%! Who says steak isn't a weeknight meal?

Promising review: "We LOVE this little gadget. Now that we have it, we wonder how we ever got along without it. Seriously! This makes tenderizing meats so easy, fast and CLEAN. Simply pressing the blades down into the meat is much cleaner than using a tenderizer mallet, which splatters meat and juice all over the place. Cleaning the tool itself is a breeze, too." —tuBgrateful

Another promising review: "I like to marinate for flavor, and this tool allows foods to absorb the marinade in minutes; you don't have to put the cuts in a bag overnight! Also, this really speeds up the cooking; if you like your steaks medium rare, knock a couple of minutes off the grilling time. I can't find anything I don't like about this product!" —Arthur Lilien
