2. Anna Wintour: Bloomberg Game Changers (2011)

Sadly, The September Issue is no longer streaming on the 'flix. You can still get your Anna Wintour fix with this Bloomberg special about the Vogue editor-in-chief, though. Bonus – it's only 25 minutes. It's a quick, intimate portrait of the most powerful woman in fashion. Best Interview: Vera Wang

"She was not 'Anna Wintour, high priestess of Vogue,'" Wang says of first meeting Wintour. "She was my friend, and we were two girls that were looking to get something going in the fashion industry." Wang helps to humanize the oft-called "ice queen" editor. Few realize Wang was an editor at Vogue before becoming a go-to wedding dress designer.

3. Diana Vreeland: The Eye Has To Travel (2011)

Think The September Issue, but French. Mademoiselle C tracks the launch of CR Fashion Book, a passion project of former Vogue Paris editor-in-chief Carine Roitfeld. Yes, this is the woman who gave Kim Kardashian a grill. But she's also Tom Ford's muse, and BFFs with Karl Lagerfeld. The whole concept of the doc, and the magazine, is to prove that fashion goes beyond clothes. (Run time: 93 minutes)

5. Bill Cunningham New York (2010)

Into street style blogs? Then you'll love Bill Cunningham. The photog made street style happen in the pages of The New York Times. This doc follows the now-85-year-old Cunningham, a true fashion historian, as he swings through NYC on a Schwinn bicycle, snapping shots of fashionable New Yorkers to publish in the paper. "We all get dressed for Bill," Anna Wintour quips in the movie. "It's either one snap, two snaps, or no snaps ... which is death." (Run time: 84 minutes)

Biggest WTF Moment: Bill's Apartment

Cunningham lives inside a studio – not a studio apartment, a studio inside Carnegie Hall – lined with filing cabinets, stacked to the ceiling with photo boxes. He's constantly surrounded by his archives, with a bed on the floor, no kitchen or bathroom. It's public, and in the hallway. "Who the hell wants a kitchen and a bathroom?" Cunningham says. "Just more rooms to clean!"

6. Chasing Beauty (2013)

Aspiring model Cory Brandt has mixed aspirations – he wants to be one of the shirtless greeters at Abercrombie & Fitch ... and a politician. He sites former senator Scott Brown, who infamously did a nude centerfold for Cosmopolitan, as his role model. If that's not weird enough for you, his mom proudly tells the camera, "I'll be there on that first day he takes his shirt off! Absolutely, I'll get my picture taken next to him." Yeah.

Fashion Fun Fact: The Fendi Logo

The iconic "FF" seen on belt buckles and Baguette bags doesn't stand for Fendi, but for "fun fur." The fashion house started as a fur and leather shop in 1925. Creative Director Karl Lagerfeld coined the term – all the fur Fendi produces should be "fun" – and it stuck.

You've no doubt heard of Yves Saint-Laurent, but what about Pierre Bergé? The two men were business and life partners. In this doc, Bergé, now 83, recounts the couple's 50 years together. Although the couple split in 1976, they continued working together until Saint-Laurent's death. This is less of a fashion story and more of a twisted love story.

Warning, L'amour fou (Wild Love in English) is almost entirely in French, so if you hate subtitles ... maybe pick a different movie. (Run time: 98 minutes)

Biggest Tearjerker: Bergé's Eulogy For Saint-Laurent

The film begins with Saint-Laurent's 2008 funeral, featuring a heartfelt speech by Bergé. Have the tissues ready as he speaks to his friend and lover for the last time. Fun (?) fact, the two met at Christian Dior's funeral in 1957.

10. Ultrasuede: In Search of Halston (2010)

Whitney Sudler-Smith, star of Bravo's Southern Charm, directed and starred in this doc about his obsession with designer Roy Halston. Between interviews with Halston's friends, like Liza Minelli, and sifting through the designer's archives, Sudler-Smith breaks down the mystery behind the man who revolutionized American fashion with minimalism in the middle of the disco takeover.

Liza Minelli says this almost out of nowhere to Sudler-Smith, seemingly referencing all the lies he needed to sift through to get down to the truth about Halston.

11. A Man's Story (2010)

It took 12 years to make this portrait of British mens' designer Ozwald Boateng, who you might remember from the short-lived series House of Boateng. Director Varon Bonicos narrates the story, covering all the highs and lows of Boateng's life, both personally and professionally. Everyone from Will Smith to Paul Bettany weighs in on Boateng's rise from up-and-comer, to Givenchy creative director and, finally, Savile Row star. (Run time: 98 minutes)

Early in Boateng's career, thieves broke into his studio and stole his latest collection – all £75,000 of it: 68 suits, 35 shirts, four waistcoats and two Mac computers. Silver lining? Boateng didn't seem all that impressed with his work. He called the fashion show for the collection the worst he'd ever done.
