The Best Time For Travelling In Thailand

This article is for those who would like to travel in Thailand. To have a great trip, it is necessary to choose the suitable time when the weather is mild. With this article, you will get more knowledge of the weather of some regions in Thailand such as Chiang Mai, Chiang Rai and Bangkok.

    1. The North and the Northeast of Thailand

The two outstanding destinations in this region are Chiang Mai and Chiang Rai. The North and the Northeast own diverse climate. The best time to visit is in November, December, January and February. The reason is that the mountainous region has lower temperature than the plain. In these months, sometimes, temperature gets lower; therefore, tourists should warm clothes. The region is at the highest temperature (30oC) in March, making the humidity increase.

In May, July, August, September and October, the Southwest will be in rainy season. But usually, squall of rain will last for two hours.

Chiang Mai belongs to the North of Thailand and is ranked second biggest city after Bangkok. However, unlike Bangkok, Chiang Mai still maintains traditional features and cultures of Thailand. In reality, the number of skyscrapers, magnificent pagodas, traditional lively museums and handicraft shops in Chiang is not as large as that in Bangkok. The ideal time for the trip to Chiang Mai is on festivals such as Songkran (Thai's New year festival - mid-April) or Loy Krathong (lantern festival - November).

    2. The Central region and the East of Thailand

Popular destinations include Bangkok, Ayutthaya and Pattaya. The weather of this region has quite a few common points with that of the North and the Northeast but towards the central area, the temperature and the humidity are higher.

The best time to visit Bangkok and surrounding cities is from November to February. At this time, the weather is beautiful and mild. Unfortunately, this time coincides with the peak tourist season.

Between March and May, temperature is up to 40oC with average humidity; therefore, you should spend time visiting Thailand in these months. In contrast, you should avoid coming Thailand from June to October because some flood and thunderstorms may negatively affect your trip.

Another notable thing is that the colorful city - Bangkok is located in this region. The capital of Thailand is one of the favorite destinations of tourists throughout the world. The reason is that Bangkok owns a host of attractive destinations. Tourists will have an occasion to get fascinating experience when visiting the centre of culture where lots of national heritage is displayed. Coming here, tourists can admire ancient palace Ayutthaya, Grand Palace and famous pagodas like Wat Phra Kaeo, Wat Pho and Mahaat and National Museum.
