Everything We Know About The Instagram Model Who Died On A Billionaire's Superyacht

Sinead McNamara had been working on the yacht for four months.

Twenty-year-old Australian Instagram model Sinead McNamara was found dead on the superyacht of Mexican billionaire Alberto Bailleres on Friday.

McNamara, who grew up in New South Wales' Port Macquarie region, had reportedly been working as part of the boat's crew for several months, touring various ports in the Mediterranean.

McNamara's mother and sister were travelling to Greece to holiday with McNamara when news first broke of her death.

Australia's Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade is providing consular assistance to McNamara's family.

McNamara has more than 25,000 followers on Instagram and tributes have flooded in on her social media over the weekend.

Reports out of Greece on Tuesday said local police had allowed the 93-metre-long yacht to leave the port, but that investigations were ongoing.

"The yacht left our waters last night but we are still gathering evidence," Kefalonia police port official Stamatis Limneos told The Guardian.

    Who is Alberto Bailleres?

Bailleres is an 87-year-old Mexican multi-billionaire who made his money in mining. Forbes magazine estimated his wealth at $11 billion in 2017. His $200 million dollar yacht, the Mayan Queen IV, sailed into Sydney in 2011.

Bailleres has seven children and has not yet commented on McNamara's death, but reports suggest he and his family had left the boat a few days before McNamara died.
