Shannon Noll Has Apologised After Lashing Out At The "Private School Motherfucker" Fan Who Threw Beer At Him

"I'll fuck your missus and your mum."

Everyone's favourite Australian Idol runner-up and resurgent meme Shannon Noll has apologised to fans after going on an expletive-filled rant while on stage this past weekend.

Noll was performing at Nyngan's Duck Creek Races on Saturday evening when a patron threw a beer can at the singer, narrowly missing his head. Noll said the can was full.

Video of the incident has since gone viral, picking up over 1 million views, and shows the "What About Me" singer going on one hell of an outburst.

"Who's that fucker?" yells Noll. "Get up here, man. Come on, have the balls to come up here... Go on then – that fuckhead in a tie."

Noll can be heard instructing the crowd to turn around and look for the person, and later says he will "give someone $100 to punch that fuck for me".

"That pretty boy. You're a fucking maggot. Show some fucking balls and come up here... come on, cheap shot prick," he says.

"Fucking private school stupid fuckhead motherfucker. Have some balls and get up here and I'll punch your fucking teeth down your throat out the back...

"Then I'll fuck your missus and your mum."

On Sunday evening, Noll took to Facebook to apologise for the tirade. "After one guy threw a full can, just missing my head, it really rattled me," he wrote.

Noll called back to an incident that occurred last year when someone threw a firecracker onto his stage, seriously hurting one of his band members. "You don't have a lot of deep vision into the crowd from the stage and it's pretty scary to see something suddenly flying straight at you," he said.

"We’re just doing our job and these actions are not acceptable. I completely understand that that is still no excuse for the way I spoke and I am deeply sorry for the terrible things I said that were purely out of frustration."
