No, There Isn't A Cross Dressing Program For Toddlers In Australia

And the Safe Schools program *does not* teach breast binding or penis tucking.

This past weekend The Herald Sun published a piece about a new Start Early initiative set to be rolled out in Australian preschools which it said taught toddlers about "sex, sexuality, and cross dressing."

Managing Director of the Australian Christian Lobby, Lyle Shelton, took to Twitter to mock the "rainbow ideology," and later said he would call on Education Minister Simon Birmingham to cancel the program.

Now rainbow ideology is coming to a childcare centre near you. Cross-dressing and toilet tours for toddlers. https://t.co/W6SUPl35LO

ACL media release coming soon. We’re calling on @Birmo to cancel this immediately. No rainbow ideology 4 toddlers. https://t.co/W6SUPl35LO

Birmingham responded by asking Shelton to get his facts straight... "for once."🔥 🔥 🔥

In a tweet to Shelton, the Minister for South Australian said it wasn't a federal program and that it was "entirely NSW based and funded."

@LyleShelton not my program; entirely NSW based & funded I understand. Be good if you got your facts straight, for once.

The organisation behind "Start Early", Early Childhood Australia, denied the program had anything to do with sex education, and said the goal of the program was to "prevent family violence in the long term."

The article also claimed a separate initiative, the Safe Schools Program, taught breast binding and penis tucking, which isn't true.

Not to sound like a broken record - but this claim in story also patently false.

So no, Aussie schools aren't teaching kids how to "cross-dress".
