Ferry deckhand Ian Gilchrist has taken an absolutely crazy photo of the Sydney Harbour swell engulfing the Manly ferry over the weekend.
A dangerous weather system rolling through NSW is causing rough surf conditions, and Gilchrist has plenty of incredible photos from his journeys on the weekend.
Gilchrist has been working on the ferry for more than nine years, starting out as a cashier before working his way up to deckhand or "greaser", he told Beyond The Wharf.
Ian's photos from the weekend have more than 1000 likes each, and are full of people commenting about the crazy conditions.
"Great day to be working," commented Gilchrist. "It was only for a few hours it went a bit insane. Made it pretty busy with swell and sail boats."
BuzzFeed News has sought comment from Gilchrist.
