What Unfortunate Event Will Derail Your Moot?

Most important preparation besides practicing?

Which is most accurate about you in class?

Which unlikely comment would you like most to receive?

You couldn't help but notice one Justice seemed a little bit intense in watching you. Then you locked eyes and you knew what was happening. You keep eyes locked, and resist the urge to blink as the world around you fades away. The panicked screams of "what are they doing?" and "get a doctor they may be dying!" are nothing but murmurs under the epic symphony rising towards a crescendo in your head. Then in a moment, it is over. One of you, the victor, the other, the loser. I won't spoil who won for you, but you didn't pass your moot for sure.

An Intense Staring Match with a Judge

You became suspicious something may be off about your partner when they crawled backwards down the stairs or their sudden telekinetic abilities. When they said "all rise", your partner began floating. Their head spun around multiple times during the moot. Both opponents mysteriously disappeared, and a herd of crows have gathered in the room. However the judges found your partners 20 minute puke and satanic screeching quite persuasive. You won, but you should find some holy water and a really brave priest ASAP.

Your Partner becomes possessed by a Demonic Spirit

Motherfucking snakes in this motherfucking courtroom. No one knows how this happened, but the room is swarming with snakes. Red snakes, blue snakes, venomous snakes, and those cute tiny ones people have as pets. Despite the reptilian audience, you begin the moot regardless. Remaining careful not to move to much to upset the squirming horde of death. You make it through, but you lost marks for your rigid posture and your palpable fear.

Player 3 has joined the game. Another pair of law students roll up to the court. It is not clear who they would be representing or who they even are, but the judges are intrigued and allow it. They cut off your time and let them present. All they say is a series of buzzwords with no connection to each other or the case. Before you think it could get weirder, they begin to do sign a charming rendition of _Toxic_ by Britney Spears. Incredulous, you demand to finish your arguments. The justices were not pleased by your sensibility, and noted your lack of respect. You were removed from the courtroom. You could hear the third team's second act which composed of a riveting jazz routine and slam poetry about guacamole.

A third moot team entered the arena

You had convincing arguments, if only they could have been heard. Unfortunately for you, a three-piece mariachi band were playing quite loudly at the back of the room. Even more unfortunate, they are mobile, as they move closer and closer to the front of the room. As if a monster was creeping up on you in a Mexican restaurant. You look to the judges for help but you gasp when you see them shimmying along to their music. You look to your fellow mooters, and see they also fell under their rhythmic spell. Suddenly it stops, you are frozen in place, you ask yourself, "is it over?" Then it begins again, as you collapse in exhaustion.

Interrupted by a Mariachi Band

You are in awe as the imaginary Jane or John Doe shows up and demanding you win the appeal. This was only to get your feet wet in what a lawyer is like, but now you get to deal with an awful client. They demand too much of you, angry when you don't seem to be winning, and threaten to fire you at every moment. You weren't prepared for your client showing up and asking the judges for a delay so they can get adequate legal representation. Congratulations you had your first client, it didn't go well, but hey it is all for the experience.
