After two years of being cooped up in our own little bubbles, the one thing we have all realised is the absolute importance of communication. Whether it is across continents via video call or across the table with our loved ones, small talk just doesn't cut it anymore.
It is essentially a concept that encourages deeper, meaningful discourse in order to help people connect with each other, while also forging new friendships and rekindling existing ones.
In order to bring "Table for Everyone" alive, Black & White Ginger Ale came up with "Cards for Sharing", which is a card game with fun prompts and questions that catalyse sincere dialogues between the players. This game is designed in such a way that it brings out a whole new side to the players, especially when they're asked the right questions.
Black & White Ginger Ale also released two campaign films that feature people from various walks of life sharing their stories with both their friends and strangers.
In these videos, we see people opening up about a myriad of experiences, including their dating preferences...
While in one video, Vaayudhwani spoke about how she got into cooking continental food at a rather young age because of her mother's illness...
...and Sandeep spoke about the person who changed his life. "Don't be a sheep in the herd", he said, while quoting her and elaborating upon how she encouraged Sandeep into doing drag for the very first time.
In another video, Preeti spoke about how she felt supported and acknowledged by a member of her family for the very first time...
...and Shashank mentioned how he had to cope with the loss of his father.
And when one of the cards asked Vanya about the advice she would give her teenage self, she answered...
The players had a heart-to-heart about various aspects of their lives...
...and their identities.
The "Cards for Sharing" were so thoughtfully curated that the prompts covered a bunch of topics ranging from serious tearjerkers to conversations that would make you laugh out loud...
...so much so, that they turned a regular, everyday table conversation, into an inclusive and enriching experience.
By the end of the videos, the players felt like they knew and understood each other a lot better.
