Hartsfield – Jackson International Airport in Atlanta

The airport is also called Atlanta Airport, Hartsfield – Jackson and Hartsfield. It occupies 1528 ha. This is the busiest airport in the world; it serves 100 million passengers a year and provides 150 domestic and 75 international flights.

It’s also one of the biggest employers in the region – it employs 56 000 airport staff members. Its absolute advantage is the location – 80% of Americans live just a two-hour ride away. There are two terminals, one for domestic and the second for international flights. The passengers will find here numerous stores, bars, restaurants, banks, conference rooms and a multi-faith chapel. Transportation between the terminals and halls goes, among others, through a pedestrian tunnel equipped with moving sidewalk. In order to get to the city center, you can take an underground train, bus, taxi or public transportation. The airport also provides a car park that can accommodate 30 000 cars.
