Halina and Ariel's Review of The Parent Trap
Review of The Parent Trap and how mean Hallie is to Annie
To preface this review, all readers should know that The Parent Trap is truly an incredible cinematic masterpiece. The story line is that Hallie and Annie are two twins that were separated at birth by their divorced parents. They end up going to the same summer camp in Maine and find out they are twins. They switch places at the end of camp so they can each meet the parent they never lived with. Annie takes Hallie’s place in California where she finds out that her dad, Dennis Quaid, is dating this annoying young woman named Cruella “Meredith.” Hallie goes to London and meets the mom who is a wedding dress designer. Annie needs help separating Dennis from Meredith and she calls Halle for help but Halle is too selfish to even care. The dad and Meredith decide to go to a hotel (with Annie, who they think is Hallie) to see if they should get married there. Hallie tells her mom her true identity and books them a flight to the same hotel, claiming that it is to switch the twins back. But really the twins want to get their parents back together and make their family whole again. NO SPOILERS HERE you have to watch the rest!
When watching this film, you will find heros and protagonists, such as Annie, but you will also find some not-so-favorable characters. Watch the film regardless, but as you do so, stay calm and don’t let Hallie get the better of you. Here are some reasons why Hallie is what Ariel calls “the lesser twin” and what Halina calls the meaner one:
0.FIRST OF ALL HALLIE LOSES THE FENCING GAME FAIR AND SQUARE BUT NO NO HALLIE IS A SORE LOSER AND DECIDES TO PULL ANNIE INTO THE WATER WITH HER! SHE CAN’T ACCEPT THE FACT THAT SHE LOST AND FELL INTO THE WATER BECAUSE OF HER OWN LACK OF SKILL AND TAKES HER ANGER OUT AGAINST HER INNOCENT OPPONENT. THIS IS SIMPLY IMMATURE AND MEAN. IF WE ARE KEEPING SCORE HERE, ANNIE SHOULD GET A POINT FOR THE FENCING MATCH AND THE FURNITURE THING BUT BECAUSE HALLIE PULLED HER INTO THE WATER ON THE FENCING MATCH, SHE DOESN’T GET THAT SAME SATISFACTION.
0.HALLIE IS MEAN TO ANNIE FROM THE GET GO BY INSULTING HER FACIAL FEATURES EVEN THOUGH THEY ARE LITERALLY IDENTICAL!!!!!! THIS SHOWS NOT ONLY A MEAN HEART BUT ALSO STUPIDITY AND LACK OF SELF AWARENESS.
0.HALLIE PULLS SUCH A MEANER PRANK ON ANNIE THAN WHEN ANNIE PUT THE BEDS ON THE ROOF! SHE DESTROYED THE ENTIRE BUNK AND SHE PUT STUFF ON THE PEOPLE WHILE THEY WERE SLEEPING. THAT IS DISGUSTING.
0.STEALING SOMEONE’S CLOTHES WHILE THEY SWIM IN A LAKE NAKED IN THE DARK IS A SERIOUS OFFENSE. CONGRATS HALLIE YOU WON A POKER GAME THAT DOESN’T MEAN YOU SHOULD STEAL SOMEONE’S CLOTHES AND THEIR SENSE OF DIGNITY!!!!! IT WAS A STUPID BET AND YOU DESTROYED THE FUN IN IT! YOU TOOK IT WAY TOO FAR AND YOU LITERALLY ONLY GOT LUCKY YOU KNOW ANNIE IS BETTER THAN YOU AT POKER! NEXT TIME THINK TWICE BEFORE YOU GO HARASSING AN INNOCENT PERSON BECAUSE THEY COULD TURN OUT TO BE YOUR TWIN.
0.ANNIE HAS TO GET BOTH HER EARS PIERCED AND HER HAIR CUT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! BOTH!!!!!! THIS IS NOT FAIR I QUESTION EVERYDAY WHY THE MOVIE WRITERS DID NOT GIVE ONE TWIN A HAIRCUT AND THE OTHER A PIERCING. THINK OF THE PAIN THAT ANNIE HAD TO SUFFER WHILE HALLIE GOT AWAY SCOTCH FREE! AND I THINK WE ALL KNOW IT WAS HALLIE’S IDEA TO PIERCE THE EARS AND BASED ON HER SMILE DURING THAT SCENE SHE DEFINITELY ENJOYED IT.

Why does Annie already know how to ride a horse so well?
How can Annie so quickly drop her British accent?
How do Annie and her friends get Hallie’s furniture on the roof of the cabin?
Which twin was which when they were wearing the pink and orange polo shirts?
How did they book flights on the whip of a hat upon departing to London?
Why did the woman who was getting married randomly pick up Hallie when they were fixing the veil?
Why was Hallie so good at acting as Annie but Annie was so bad at acting as Hallie?
Why did Annie never eat?
WHY DID HALLIE WANT A POPSICLE SO BADLY?
Where were Annie’s friends when Hallie stole her clothes after she jumped?
Why would Annie help pick up the fallen pictures IF HALLIE HAD BEEN SO MEAN TO HER?!?!
