    Anheuser-Busch Acquisitions

Anheuser-Busch was acquired by Belgium brewing company InBev in 2008. Budweiser is in somewhat of a identity crisis with its parent company and the American consumer.

InBev offers $46.3 billion for Anheuser-Busch. This is an important acquisition of a foreign company taking over such a major domestic company. When it comes to Anheuser-Busch its most prevalent brands are Bud Light and Budweiser.

Bud Light makes itself as America's #1 beer, and it is right. Bud Light is the #1 selling beer among beer consumers, it is the most consumed as well.

Then there is Budweiser. In these past few years Budweiser has been on the fall when it comes to consumer opinion. Budweiser's marketing team is in a weird spot currently. With the recent political election and current world affairs, Budweiser has made its opinion somewhat skewed. The America cans released last year made people think Budweiser consumers were linked to trump. Then the super bowl immigrant commercial had everyones head turning as well.

InBev's acquisition of AB was considered as a colossal deal. Not only have they consumed US companies but Chinese, German, and Mexican beers. They have even moved into the craft beer scene which is not sitting well with locally owned and started brewers.
