Kristen Stewart Opened Up About Being Told Not To Hold Her Girlfriend’s Hand In Case It Damaged Her Career

“If you just like do yourself a favour, and don’t go out holding your girlfriend’s hand in public, you might get a Marvel movie.”

Kristen Stewart just opened up about her sexuality in a recent interview, revealing that she was once told if she wanted to secure a major movie role, she shouldn’t flaunt it in public.

Talking to Harper’s Bazaar, Stewart — who has dated men and women in the past but chooses not to label her sexuality — said that she had been told to “do [herself] a favour” and keep her relationship away from the public eye for fear it could affect her career.

But Stewart admitted that she hasn’t always been so open and that she used to be “informed by an old-school mentality” that made her keep her personal life private.

But Stewart had a change of perspective when she realised that by trying to protect her private life, she was actually hindering it.

“I just think we’re all kind of getting to a place where we’re all becoming incredibly ambiguous,” Stewart concluded. “It’s this really gorgeous thing.”
