Billie Eilish has opened up about social distancing during the coronavirus lockdown, revealing that she thinks people will take things for granted once the sanctions are lifted and life slowly returns to normal again.

Speaking to Telekom Electronic Beats in their latest podcast episode, Billie spoke about how she was currently coping with the quarantine, revealing that she's enjoying her own company.

"If I'm being honest, I haven't wanted to," Billie responded when asked if she'd downloaded apps such as Houseparty to video call with friends. "It sounds so introverted and lonerish, but I've been really enjoying being alone."

Revealing that she was actually able to enjoy some downtime for once, Billie added: "I'm good being alone. I like being alone. I haven't had this time off since like I was like 12, so yeah, it's crazy."

But, if you've been keeping up with Billie on Instagram, you'll know that she's not entirely alone after recently fostering two dogs, Jim and Miss Maudie.

"I've been fostering two puppies, which has been amazing and [a] full-time job at the same time," she said of the pups. "It's actually been great. When else am I going to have time to do that."

However, despite many people taking the time to reflect on friends they're missing during lockdown, Billie thinks that they'll "take it for granted" once things go back to normal.

"If I'm being real, I feel like as soon as we can see people again and go out, we're going to be so happy and grateful, and in about three days, we're all going to take it for granted again," she said when asked about what she thinks people will learn from the current situation.

"Everybody knows that you can lose anything at any time, but we never thought we would lose seeing our friends, and going out and having fun," Billie added. "We never thought that we wouldn't be able to at a certain point."

Billie concluded that she hopes people learn a valuable lesson from the coronavirus lockdown, and said she'll be working hard to make sure she doesn't take anything for granted in the future.
