It's Time To Look Back And See "Game Of Thrones" For What It Was — An Epic Comedy Series, Here's Some Of The Funniest Moments

"I saw your pecker, what kind of god would have a pecker that small?"

You could say that the ending of GOT is (unintentionally) laughable in its own right, but looking past that, there were some truly inspired moments.

So let's remember 21 moments of hilarity that the show gave us.

1. When Tyrian confessed all of his vices to the court at the Vale.

Perhaps the funniest scene in the whole series? Tyrian's wonderful monologue brought tears of disgust to the eyes of Lysa, but tears of laughter to us viewers.

2. The time Tyrion described himself down to a T.

Early-series Tyrion had all the lines.

3. When Jamie showed off his golden hand.

Poor old Jaime. But seriously, this was not supposed to be anything other than funny. 

4. The time Tormund opened up about his love of giant's milk.

Tormund is another contender for the funniest GOT characters — his anecdote about suckling the teat of a giant for months has to be one of the best scenes of the last season (not a high bar, I know).

5. When Tormund got super judgemental with Jon.

6. The time Tormund and the Hound finally met.

This meeting could have either been bloody as hell or just bloody hilarious. I think we're all glad it was the latter.

7. When the Hound didn't take any shit from the bureaucracy.

The Hound may have been one of the most cut-throat characters (literally), but he was also essentially a running one-sided roast battle for the entire series (not complaining).

8. And the time he called Beric out.

9. And when he taught Arya to be less sentimental.

This hilarious moment also precedes another golden Hound line, when Arya says "He killed Lommy," and the Hound simply replies "wtf's a Lommy" — genius. 

10. The time Lady Olenna came in swinging at Cersei.

Cersei's pure shock at being spoken down to is perfection; Olenna really didn't care one bit.

11. And again, when she said what we were all thinking about Cersei.

Olenna, like the Hound, was actually a roasting genius, and also gave zero shits, which is why they were both responsible for some of the funniest GOT moments. 

12. Pycelle's nervous fart.

Of all the deaths in Game of Thrones, there was something so pathetically hilarious about Tywin's. Perhaps, it's quaint that such an adept military strategist would die on the bog.

13. When Edmure couldn't shoot for shit.

This was painful but superb. With every miss, it got funnier and funnier. Even though it's sort of a sad scene, I couldn't help but laugh.

14. The time that Stannis became the grammar police.

Something about Stannis caring that much about grammar while there are far more pressing issues is hilarious. You gotta feel for Davos, we've all been there with 'less' and 'fewer.' 

15. And when Davos took up the mantle.

Good ol loyal Davos, taking up the reins of the grammar police when Jon was letting the team down. 

16. When Robert ripped Lancel to pieces.

Robert could throw a strong insult around — his takedown of poor Lancel was funny AF: "Lancel Lannister, who named you, some halfwit with a stutter?"

17. When Walder Frey forgot his granddaughter's name.

Someone who was just as mean as Olenna, but perhaps not quite as sharp, was Walder Frey. Although, he did give us a genuinely hilarious scene where he forgets the name of one of his many offspring.

18. When Podrick Payne became a 'stud.'

Pod had a wild ride throughout Game of Thrones, but perhaps the wildest was his fateful night spent in a brothel, where his payment (courtesy of Tyrian) was rejected. Tyrian and Bronn's reaction and insistence on "copious details" was very chuckle-worthy indeed.

19. The epic and the non-epic introduction of Daenerys and Jon.

Personally, I think this is more down to Davos's perfect comedic timing — he literally couldn't make "king of the north" sound any less impressive.

20. And finally, when Arya found out about Lysa's death.

Arya and the Hound — badass to the hilt and always giving us moments of humour. When they are told that Lysa has died, Arya's reaction is absolutely priceless.
