We had three curious people go to Float Lab to try sensory deprivation tanks for the first time, and here's what happened:

A sensory deprivation chamber is pretty much exactly what it sounds like: a sound-proof, pitch-black tank filled with extremely salty water, allowing the body to float in a void.

Some of the participants were looking forward to the healing properties of this experiment...
...While some were worried it was going to drive them crazy:
"These chambers take you into yourself to a place you've never been."
It was time to dive into the depths!
Two hours later, they emerged like brand new babies.
So what the hell happened in there?!
After some initial anxiety, it seems they all learned to be present with the experience and let it happen.
