The Most Heart-Breaking Deaths In 'The 100'

Wells

After coming all the way down to Earth for Clarke and trying his best at keeping peace, he unfortunately did die. Well´s death was very unexpected, but the reason it was so tragic was because he was just trying to help Charlotte but instead got murdered by her simply for being the son of the Chancellor.

Finn

Finn had been through a lot, like much others, but thinking he lost Clarke seemed to be the last straw for him. Even though Finn slaughtered 28 grounders, even if it was for Clarke. Clarke did mercy kill him so that he wouldn´t have to go through the torture of the 1000 cuts, and it was still a sad way to go out. Especially with Raven´s reaction to it and his last words.

Lincoln

One of the two people to die in a matter of 2 episodes. Lincoln was the first ´friendly´ grounder the 100 had met and helped them throughout the series to survive. And to die at the hands of Pike while Octavia was watching, definitely makes this one of the saddest deaths in the 100.

Lexa

Lexa´s character definitely developed during her time on the show. from going to the vengeful leader of the grounders to an ally who believed there should be another way than war. It´s horrible especially for the clexa fans, the episode (3.07) the episode seemed to start of great but then soon (only a few minutes later) have to watch Lexa die while Clarke desperately tried to save her.

Jasper

Jasper brought light into s1 (plus his iconic goggles). However, he had been struggling after Maya´s death in s2. however when he decided to stay in Arcadia to die, despite Monty trying his best to convince him to come with him to keep surviving. Especially in the last moments between Monty and Jasper where they say goodbye was gut wrenching to watch.

Ilian

Though Illian didn´t appear so much on the show, he did have a masive impact on Octavia. and ended up saving her life in the conclave.

Monty and Harper

Monty and Harper were there from the start. Monty saved Spacekru from starvation with his algae, and at the end of s5 they saved all of humanity by finding anotheer way to keep it going, another planet. They both knew they wouldn´t like to keep living the same way of war, so didn´t go into cryo-sleep. But leaving behind video recordings of how their lives are going, watching them grow old and raise a child in a matter of minutes is not the blow we were expecting. They´ll definitely be missed.

Maya

Maya was a great help to making sure the 100 who were stuck in Mt.Weather and put her life on the line several times for them, yet she still died when Bellamy and Clarke pulled the lever killing every Mountain men. And Jasper´s reaction to it made the death even worse.

Sinclaire

When Carl Emmerson infiltrated Arcadia, he sacrificed his life Raven (who was like a daughter to him) by giving time for her to get in the rover when Emmerson was trying to kill them. Insisting she stay in the rover. Sinclair was the only family Raven had besides Finn (who too died), so it was terrible having watch her loose him too.

Atom

Atom was introduced at the start as one of the people in Bellamy´s group, and had been given the job for a little while to watch over octavia (where there was a relationship developing). In the end he died due to being in the acid fog and having to be mercy killed by Clarke. Which was horrifying as he begged to be killed + Clarke humming a song.
