33 Things You Don't Need But Will Definitely Buy Anyway

OK, actually I do need this stuff.

We hope you love the products we recommend! All of them were independently selected by our editors. Just so you know, BuzzFeed may collect a share of sales or other compensation from the links on this page if you decide to shop from them. Oh, and FYI — prices are accurate and items in stock as of time of publication.

    1. Avocado Smash — a smashingly good game you simply guac to try.

You need at least two players to play but there is no limit to the amount of players. Whoever is most obsessed with avocados goes first. You start by putting down cards and saying what number turn it is. Once you hit 15, start over. If a player puts down a number card and it matches the number they say out loud, everyone needs to place their hands in the middle. Last person to put their hand down has to take up all the cards. There are also guacamole, smash, and reverse cards to keep things interesting. The first person to get rid of all their cards wins.

Promising review: "I bought this for my granddaughter. My granddaughters love to sit down and play board games every weekend and have a ball doing it. But this is a game changer. :) They got it out and were playing it in their room and I heard screaming and laughing and fun noises, coming from the room. It is a fast paced, easy to learn, very competitive game they absolutely loved. I have never heard this reaction from any game they played, and everyone of them had fun doing it. No exceptions. I think it is a great way to bring your family together for good quality time, and this will keep them off the devices for a while and bring everyone a bit closer together for moments of fun and memories. Get it! :)" —Millie The Writer

    5. A bag of powder cheddar cheese to help you make amazing "boxed" mac n cheese, improve bland popcorn, or just add a little cheesy kick to your cooking.

Other reviewers like it in their potatoes, bread, and scrambled eggs.

Promising review: "My 6-year-old son is super picky with his mac and cheese (as in, would only eat Kraft) so when he had to go gluten free it was one of the things he missed the most. We tried all of the prepackaged gluten-free ones and he hated them. We found that he liked Barilla brand gluten-free elbow pasta so I needed to find a gluten-free cheese to go with with it. This was a hit! I mixed it with a little milk and butter, and he ate two bowls. This is real cheese, all natural ingredients and they suggest keeping it refrigerated. I'm glad we finally found a replacement for his mac and cheese!" —Naomi A. Dejesus Howard

    9. A "zombie" facial treatment that will bring your skin BACK TO LIFE! In a good way that Rick Grimes would be cool with.

This mask is made with albumin, a component from eggs that helps moisturize skin. It claims to help tighten pores, hydrate, promote elasticity, remove dead skin, and balance pH. To use, mix the included powder and liquid together with a brush. Spread the mixture evenly over your face and leave until it begins to dry. It'll create a sort of ~undead~ look, hence the name. Wash after 10 or 15 minutes and enjoy your freshly hydrated face! If this looks familiar to you, it's apparently similar to the Hanacure facial that Instagram loves.

Promising review: "I own a salon and have worked in them for 19 years and never in my life have I used or seen something so amazing. I have read all about the Hanacure facial but it is expensive and always on back order. This is the same thing AND IT WORKS. It doesn't smell bad at all. There is a veryyyy slight smell to it but hardly noticeable and not something I'd complain about. This has natural ingredients and boy does it work. It sucked every thing out of my pores and shrunk them and all of the lines on my face are GONE. YES GONE. Usually I have to have Botox for my forehead. Well not anymore that's for sure!!" —Aja Rieger Cooke

    11. A pack of wool dryer balls to make your laundry 1. faster drying 2. static-free 3. flipping adorable!

Yes, they sell cheaper dryer balls, but penguins!!!

Promising review: "Honestly, I was taken back a bit because of the price of six dryer balls. But honestly, now that I have them and have used more than a few times I can say they’re definitely worth it. They are a fair trade product so you’re helping out for a good cause!! I have noticed less static with our clothes and it definitely helps that they have a pamphlet with directions on how to use the balls. I haven’t seen any dark color transfer to my light colors from the dryer balls so that’s another positive thing about this product. I highly recommend this brand if you were a skeptic like me!" —Aiko C

Get a pack of six from Amazon for $23.95.

    12. A coconut coffee cleanser stick that honestly looks good enough to eat — but don't! Instead, use it on your face to help cleanse and reduce the appearance of pores.

I seriously want to take a bite of that stick. Like, my mouth is watering! What's wrong with me??? Anyways, the coconut extract moisturizes while the coffee helps stimulate blood circulation, which reduces inflammation and tightens skin.

Promising review: "I have really sensitive skin that tends to break out with certain products. I bought this to try on my body just to find out what the craze was with the sticks and ended up using it on my face as well. This product is amazing! My skin doesn’t break out from it and it actually cleans deeper into my pores than I expected and it even made my pores look smaller! I have combination skin as well, and my face doesn’t get oily-looking by the end of the day." —Debs

I crossed my fingers when I ordered this, as we've tried many other books to inspire her that didn't. When I gave it to her, I was expecting a lukewarm response. However, as she thumbed through the book, she started giggling and smiling and couldn't turn the pages fast enough. I even got a spontaneous hug. She ran to the door when her dad got home to show him the book.
