M.S. Dhoni: The Untold Story Complete Pre-Review | Concept To Box Office

Whole India is waiting for the biopic on M.S. Dhoni. But before its release, here is the complete pre-review of it from its concept to the final Box Office Status.

This is going to be a complete pre-review of biopic on M.S Dhoni. I will try to predict each element of the movie as accurate as it is going to be after the release of it.

Films like Bhaag Milkha Bhaag, Paan Singh Tomar and Marry Kom are the finest Biopics made in recent years in Bollywood. But "M.S. Dhoni: The Untold Story" is going to be the biggest among them because of the character's greatness, popularity and the cricketing culture in India.

Also, its trailer stats are booming, not only the numbers are far ahead of the movies in the same genre but surprisingly if you calculate then the number of views are more than double comparing to Salman Khan's super-hit "Sultan".

Concept

There are dozens of films which have shown struggle of a person or sportsman from the land of hurdles to the heaven. But in biographical films there is more value of the character than the actual concept. So what makes "M.S. Dhoni: The Untold Story" totally different is that Ticket collector guy.

Story

Without any doubt the film's story is unique. Actually it feels like fantasy but fortunately it happened in real life where a teenage boy started as a goalkeeper, took brave steps for his cricket career, got into a position where he can decide about legendary names of the game and finally made India happy, emotional and proud in year 2011.

Along with some family drama, there is also going to be a lite romance in the film which is just perfect for Indian audience.

Rating (Story): 8/10

Screenplay

From its trailer the movie seems to be happening all the time. Its scenes will be sensible and according to the situation. The movie will make you motivate, emotional and give some goosebumps. Also, with so many characters in the film, especially of Anupam Kher as Dhoni's father there will be a good amount of entertainment.

The film will maintain its realistic theme with no larger than life dialogues and it will connect with the viewers really well. So, this all is a sign of a perfect screenplay, audience will love it. Also, there is a chance that this biopic on M.S Dhoni can become a 2 times watch.

Rating (Screenplay): 9/10

Sushant Singh Rajput

So at first it looks like a bit mismatch, real M.S Dhoni is a tough guy where Sushant have chocolaty type personality. However Sushant presented the same body language as of M.S Dhoni in the trailer. You can clearly match his batting style, shyness and decent attitude with real Dhoni. Moreover, Sushant's helicopter shot, finishing six in the world cup 2011 final and shoulder movements are exact same. It shows the actor has done a ton of homework before working on the project.

Audience will love him in the movie but it's tough to predict anything about filmfare, actually less chances.

Rating (Sushant's Acting): 8/10

Box Office Prediction

The film is releasing alone on 30th September 2016, and there is no star featured film releasing at theaters close to it. Moreover, few Hollywood movies are releasing on the same date but will not make any influence to M.S. Dhoni's biopic.

Two awaited films of this year: "Ae Dil Hai Mushkil"and "Shivaay" are releasing a month later to it, so M.S Dhoni's biopic has around 30 days to attract the audience. Overall, the box office conditions are solid for the film, could not get better than this.

The film is suitable for variety of audience from kids & boys to families, along with the Fans of Dhoni. And noticing its trailer response, the film will get huge amount of audience in India. However, it will get a below average response at overseas Box Office.

Final Verdicts: It will be a super-hit at the Box Office and for the Critics as well.
