For starters, New York City has some of the greatest food on the planet!
From the classic slice of New York pizza on a street corner, to a savory haloumi cheese sandwich in Queens, or a simply satisfying tray of takoyaki and taiyaki in Manhattan, New York City has some of the widest variety of food to choose from to suit every taste!
The scenery is absolutely breathtaking!
No matter what part of the City you're in, there is always some sight that will astound and amaze you, from the Flatiron District of Manhattan, Williamsburg in Brooklyn, the Cathedral Church of St. John the Divine in Harlem, or the Unisphere in Queens' Flushing Meadows Park.
Everywhere you look, art surrounds you!
New York is known throughout the world for being a pilgrimage spot for artists, and with good reason! The sculptures and street art in particular is enchanting to look at and usually has something to say about the world around us.
Inspiration is everywhere!
When the world starts to feel like it's gone completely mad, it really helps to go out and take a walk to clear my head. 100% of the time, I will find something that brings light back into my heart and feel at peace with the world again.
Those are just some of the reasons why New York has captured many people's hearts, including mine.
