Are We WALKING Ourselves To The Grave?

Galloping. It’s healthier, faster and no doubt more fun than a simple walk, so why don’t us humans do it? The answer quite simply is that we are lazy. The energy consumed in a gallop can be up to three times as much as a walk according to a study done by ‘Science Insider’ in 2012, but since when is this a bad thing? Surely frequent gallopers will reap the benefits much in the same way as racing horses do. Who doesn’t want strong hips and thighs. As they say, “no pain, no gain.” Unfortunately, society is very single minded on this incredibly important issue. Believe it or not, galloping from a younger age can lower the risk of cardio-vascular disease or stroke by up to 40%. In 2013, just shy of 44,000 people died from cardio-vascular disease in Australia according to the Australian Institute of Health and Welfare, and an extremely concerning number of those people walked instead of galloped. With figures like this, everyone needs to knuckle down, and do what needs to be done to preserve the health and welfare of our society, because a healthy Australia is a happy Australia. It is the natural course of evolution to adapt, and never before has mother nature called for such an important evolution in our ways of living. Galloping is the ONLY solution.
