Turn A Plain Old Dog Crate Into A Double-Duty End Table

    Hide that cage away.

    Dog Crate End Table

    Supplies

    Dog crate

    Hammer

    Nails

    Wood glue

    Wood stain

2 planks of wood that are 1 inch taller and 1 inch wider than the top of your cage

4 pieces of wood that are equal to the width of your cage

4 pieces of wood that are equal to the length of your cage

8 pieces of wood that are equal to the height of your cage

    Instructions

    # Measure the length, width, and height of your dog cage.

    # Create a frame that fits snugly around the top of your cage by nailing 4 piece of wood together.

    # Attach that frame to a plank of wood that is 1 inch wider and 1 inch longer than the top of the original dog cage. (This will be your tabletop.)

    # Repeat steps 1-3 to create the bottom of the table.

    # Take 8 pieces of wood that are the same height of your cage. Glue 2 together perpendicularly, creating a corner. Repeat this to create 4 legs total.

    # Glue the legs into the corners of the first frame/table top you created.

    # Once the glue is dry, stain to whatever color you like.

    # Once the stain is dry, place the cage on top of the bottom frame and then place the table top (with the legs) over the cage. You can nail or the glue the top and bottom piece together or leave them as is for easy moving and storage.
