First off, he's a saver of horse lives. We could stop there, but we won't. He's also a Diplomate American College of Veterinary Surgeons, a professor in CSU's College of Veterinary Medicine & Biomedical Sciences, and is training the next generation of veterinarians to care for animals. Aka GOAT.

If you haven't had a class with him, search high and low, through the mountains and the valleys, and across forbidden seas for an opportunity to take one of his classes.

Why? Because he's the best. Literally. He was named one of CSU's Best Teachers this year.

Dr. Hendrickson helped create an artificial skin that allows veterinary students to practice and refine surgical skills. Previously, students used objects like carpet scraps and orange peels for practice. The training models even exude fake blood.

1. Learn the principles/concepts not the procedure/facts.

2. Know how you learn best and then practice it.

3. Really try to learn the material, not just enough for the exam, but for life.

4. While it is important to know the person writing the exam questions, it’s more valuable to know the material.
