All Summer'17 Bucket List

The weather is heating up, and so is our anticipation to submit those final papers and depart our ways from our lovely universities to a blazing summer break.

For some, summer may mean summer school and more work towards that degree we all so desperately need. But, for others summer will be a time to catch up with hometown friends, discover new things around town, and explore areas that you wouldn’t have the time to explore during a 15 credit hour semester.

Below I’ve made a Bucket list to fulfill this summer and hope it inspires you to put down the Roku remote and open your mind to a lit summer

And don’t worry, most of these things are cost friendly with our Raman Noodle a night budget. Some of the things will hit the pockets a bit, but think of the cool Instagram Photos you will take.

So here’s to summer (clinks invisible shot glass of tequila), and to reconnection with friends and countless memories.

Water Balloon Fight

(For even more artistic fun, fill balloons with non-toxic paint for a Paint Bomb Fight. hint: wear white t-shirts)

Camping

(Check Out Jocassee, which is an campsite about an hour away from the Charlotte University Area)

See a Movie at a Drive-In Theatre

(Ok, so for this one I felt was a long shot but I managed to find a theatre Badin Road Drive-In, which is about 40 minutes away but totally worth the drive)

Water Tubing

(This may hit the pockets a few, but I promise totally worth it. Hit up the White Water Center and water tubing is just the many of activities this place has to offer)

Night Swimming

(So this one is probably the hardest because most pools close before it gets dark, but find one that opens a little later and I promise the views of the summer night and the pool water will be unforgettable)

Go Hiking

(I’m usually opposed to exercise but the view at Crowder’s Mountain makes the Hike totally worth it. Pack up your granola bars, water, and stamina for this four-hour hike)

Watch Airplanes Take Off

(Charlotte’s International Airport has a designated area where you can park your car and watch as planes lift off. hint: perfect date spot)

Picnic in the park

(You could honestly pick a different park each day to have a picnic with in this town. Explore your options with Chipotle in hand, or a traditional Turkey and Cheese sandwich)

Attend a Concert

(This Summer will be packed from artists like Future and Big Sean coming through our town. Check out local venues and see if your favorite artist will be performing this summer)

Visit a Trampoline Park

(A bouncy adventure at Sky High will guarantee a night of fun and laughs)
