Blink-182 Has A New Music Video And It's Just OK.

Blink-182 has a new music video that is a female version of the iconic "what's my age again?" music video. But it's not as good as it sounds

    Where do I start...

Blink-182 was one of my all-time favorite bands since I was a kid up until recently. They knew how to make awesome songs with catchy music and great lyrics. They also were original and just knew how to have fun!

When the new California album was announced I pre-ordered it and when I got it, I listened to it on repeat. At first I thought I like this, but honestly I think I was forcing myself to like it because I loved them so much! Now I can't listen to any of the songs on that album. The music is generic and the lyrics are extremely shallow (No surprise since it was produced by John Feldman). They aren't even pop-punk anymore they are mostly pop with a dash of rock.

When Tom chose to leave Blink I was so upset and resented him, but later I found out that one of the many reasons he left was that he didn't want to work with Feldman. After listening to this album I don't blame him.

Anyway the blink-182 tour has ended and the band released their second music video. when I heard the concept I thought it was such a good idea, but after watching the video I was disappointed. The fact that they made a modern version of it with cell phones and ipads was cool, but the fact that they had these clean-cut girls running naked was not. I would have much preferred to have had girls who had a punk or rock style. Also if the girls where going to be the female version of the band then, one of them should have been covered in tattoos (real or fake) to represent Travis. I think that was a FAIL on their part. Also it would have been hilarious if the guys were in the the scenes with the girls running as the nurse or even as just a passerby.

I have to say this music video is where I draw the line and can no longer say that Blink-182 is a great band anymore. Unless they release another album that can live up to the band they used to be.
