Like Achilles, at your core you are a sensitive person, and can be carried away by your emotions (such as holding a grudge for a /super/ long time). 
With most people, you tend keep your guard up and hide that softer part of yourself, either to keep them at arm's length, or to portray a certain image to them.
 The people that you do let in, however, are very dear to you. "Loyal" is an understatement when it comes to those you care deeply about.
When you feel wronged or dishonored, your responses can sometimes be vindictive, and in general you can be incredibly headstrong when things don't go according to your plan.
Like Achilles, your devotion to the people you cherish can strike fear into the hearts of an army of Trojans, and can even overpower your intense stubbornness.
You are a passionate, determined, and (when you feel like it) dutiful individual, with a lot of love to give, and a lot of drive to get things done.

Achilles

(Sophocles, "Antigone", read in Freshman year at St. John's College)  
You, like Antigone, are characterized first and foremost by your dedication, though there are many layers beyond that determination and loyalty.
Tenacious and immovable, Antigone is a strong and empowered individual, even in the face of opposition on all sides. Like Antigone, you are steadfast when it comes to causes you believe in, and especially with regards to your loved ones.
Willing to stand against anything from peers to authority figures, your bravery and faithfulness inspire those around you to do the same.
Though both you and Antigone may be called "rebellious", the strength and zeal you have comes not from a desire to be contrary, but rather from a righteous and sincere moral compass.
Strong-willed, resolute, and passionate, you sometimes run into trouble through your stubbornness, but those who love you know that your unwavering demeanor is one of the most inspirational and magnificent aspects of your complicated personality, and that underneath that stoic attitude there is a fierce, impassioned, and sensitive spirit.

Antigone

(Shakespeare, "As You Like It", read in Sophomore year at St. John's College)  
Like Rosalind, you are a patient, genuine, and loving person. You have a healthy sense of determination, and aren't afraid to step outside of your comfort zone when necessary. You know what you want, and often get it through your own hard work and passion, and your knowledge and awareness of yourself.
You and Rosalind are both bright and sharp as a tack. Coming up with out-of-the-box ideas is something you do naturally (like Rosalind deciding to dress as a man when she and her cousin were sent from Court). You are resourceful, and can adapt to your situation with less difficulty than many people around you.
You are usually very good at balancing your needs with the needs of people in your life, which creates a strong bond between you and those you care about, but it can still be hard for you to put yourself first when you need to.
Your thoughtful, quick-witted, and tenacious nature equips you well with tools to tackle your daily life. Just remember to take time to get those tools in working order when you need it!

Rosalind

(Virgil, "The Aeneid", read in Sophomore year at St. John's College)  
Though Aeneas is most often described as "pious", this devotion and conviction extends beyond the religious and into every element of his life. This genuine spirit is something you share.
Your faithfulness to people, ideas, and so on is what gives you the determination to be a fearsome warrior when necessary, to be a strong and reliable leader, and all the while retain your compassion and sensitive soul. You manage to put your personal feelings and desires on the back burner when you know there's a bigger task at hand, and you take the time to understand what you're doing.
Family in particular is very important to you, like Aeneas who carried his father from the burning city of Troy on his back with his son at his side. Family does not mean just blood relations, and, like Aeneas and his fleet, you make sure everyone you care about has what they need, and help them to continue on their paths.
You, like Aeneas, are constantly looking forward to the future, and are always moving toward it. It can be hard sometimes, though, to keep your feet under you and moving in the right direction. We all lose our way every now and then, so don't beat yourself up for it! Just do your best to stay on your path and you'll reach Rome when the time is right.

Aeneas

(Cervantes, "Don Quixote", read in Junior year at St. John's College)  
Don Quixote got his beginning as a bookworm with dreams of Knights, beautiful maidens, fantastical monsters, and whimsical quests, but which one of us didn't? You, like the Man of La Mancha, subscribe to a moral code you've built for yourself, and you don't allow anyone else's perceptions of reality divert you from your purpose. You are a staunchly loyal friend, and stand by your beliefs and companions no matter the consequences.
Though you are resolute and committed, sometimes even to a fault (Check out the word "quixotic"! It's not used nearly enough), you are still an open mind and a kind soul. Your guiding code is based largely on helping those in need, maintaining honor of a sort, and upholding higher principles.
You listen to those around you, and behave in the way you believe to be best for everyone in some way or another. It can be tricky, though, when your actions aren't as helpful as you'd hoped, or someone you care about says they don't need assistance this time around.
Try not to get stuck in the tough times, and instead, just like Don Quixote, pick yourself up, dust off your armor, get back on your horse Rocinante, and keep doing the next right thing.

Don Quixote

(Austen, "Pride and Prejudice", read in Junior year at St. John's College)  
Elizabeth Bennet is one of the most well-known women in English literature, and for good reason. She is bright, sharp as a tack, and holds her own in a conversation like nobody's business. Like Elizabeth, you have a good head on your shoulders and strong intuition.
You are self-assured and self-empowered, both of which come largely from your perceptive nature and critical thought processes. These traits tend to come across to others through your quick-witted or snarky sense of humor, and you often have a snappy response already rolling off of the tip of your tongue before you've thought to say anything at all!
Sometimes this wittiness can be misinterpreted, somewhat too biting, subject to poor timing, or many other factors, that can cause the hearer to be hurt or upset. No matter how the wires got crossed, try to take ownership of the fact that something you said stung the other person, and make sure to communicate openly and clearly to sort out any trouble your quick tongue might get you into.
You have a great sense of humor, and are more than willing to laugh at foolishness, no matter the source.
Though your perceptions and assessments of people you meet are usually fairly accurate, but be careful not to stick too heavily to your first impressions of anyone. Like the title says: our pride in our ability to read others, when combined with our prejudices formed with little to no basis, is the cause of much sorrow and heartache.
Try to make your peace with being wrong sometimes, and live in the here and now!

Elizabeth Bennet

(Twain, "The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn", read in Junior year at St. John's College)  
Huck is the youngest person in this quiz, though he is perhaps one of the "oldest souls", too. fiercely independent, familiar with hardship, and hungry for what life has to offer, you, and Huck, are a constant balancing act between rebellious individuality and compassionate loyalty.
Curious and open-minded by nature, you know that you are constantly learning, just by living. The lessons and information you gain every day become a sort of "database" for you, from which your practical thinking and steadfast moral compass draw their power. You are guided strongly by logic and fairness, and are constantly forming your own moral code to live well by. You're not afraid to make mistakes in this pursuit, treating each struggle as an opportunity to learn. You know that human beings are imperfect, and that knowledge helps you as you find your own path.
Largely because he is still a child, Huck finds the world to be full of wonder and newness. This quality of appreciation and admiration is not limited to children, however, and you are proof of that. The world can be scary, cruel, or plain ol' confusing, but you still find it enthralling and incredible. Hold on to that child-like sense of wonder and constant learning!

Huckleberry Finn

(Tolstoy, "War and Peace", read in Senior year at St. John's College)  
Direct and passionate, Pierre is easily identified with as a character. Through this directness and mindful simplicity, you, like Pierre, are a breath of fresh air when so much of the world is unnecessarily complicated and artificial.
Naturally unpretentious, emotionally open, and fun-loving, you are often the life of the party with your true peers, though you tend to seek out a supporting role rather than the limelight.
When in a situation where you might be expected to put on a "mask", your transparency and straightforwardness can make some people uncomfortable, and sometimes you find you're an outsider among people who are supposedly "your people". Don't be discouraged! Just like Pierre, your characteristic honesty, sincerity, and passion are beautiful parts of what makes you who you are. Your genuine, generous, and good-natured spirit will always draw like-minded individuals to you, and the family you build with them is more than worth some temporary hardship. Let your curiosity and joy for life lead the way, and you will find yourself where you're meant to be.

Pierre

(Dostoyevsky, "The Brothers Karamazov", read in Senior year at St. John's College)  
Even though he comes from a volatile family and background, Alyosha manages to walk his own path of love, service, and honesty. Like Alyosha, you do your best every day to minimize harm or suffering in your world, whether it's at your hands or someone else's. This never-ending quest of yours stems mostly from your understanding of, and relation to, human beings. You know that people aren't "good" or "bad", but rather some combination of those, and that their experiences impact how they behave and feel. Alyosha is characterized by an unconditional love for all of humanity. That's a tall order for anybody, but in your own way it's true for you, too.
You're often the one people come to when they need someone to listen, and because you do your best to remain non-judgemental, you mostly stay on the outside of the drama that daily life can generate. You love, support, and forgiveness are felt strongly by your loved ones, and your honesty is appreciated by those who ask for your help.
You like to help others, and that's admirable! Remember, though, that you're a person, too, and you experience doubt, feel pain, and struggle just like everyone else. Make sure you take time for self-care every now and then-- How can you help someone else if you're not at your best?
