Purim is traditionally celebrated with the four Mems: four traditions whose names start with the Hebrew letter Mem. Put together your dream Purim party, complete with Mishloach Manot (gifts for friends) and we'll tell you which of the four Mems you are!

First, let's put together some Mishloach Manot. What will you use as a container?

Time to put in some food! What is the first food you add?

Add some candy!

Add one more snack.

Now, pick a non-food item to add.

Which Purim cards are you giving out?

Time to pick a costume! Which of these would you dress up as?

Where do you want to hold your Purim party?

What game or activity will you have?

You’re putting on a Purim spiel (a play that tells the story of Purim) and you want to put a twist on the original story. Which of these will you do?

Which role do you want in the play?

When everyone hears the name “Haman” they have to boo and make lots of noise. What kind of noise makers are you giving out?

What kind of food will you serve at your party?

What sort of music will you play?

Finally, you have four types of hamantashen at your party. Which one do you eat first?

These are the gifts that we put together and give to our friends, family, and neighbors on Purim! If you got this answer, it means that you value friendship and community, and like making (and getting) the perfect presents.

Mishloach Manot

This is the name of the parties we hold on Purim. They’re based on the parties thrown by King Achashverosh, which got wild and over-the-top. If you got this answer, it means you like big, splashy events, and you have a flair for creativity and drama.

Mishteh

This is the book (specifically, the scroll) that we read from on Purim. It tells the story of how Esther stopped Haman from killing the Jews of Persia. If you got this answer, it means you value story-telling, learning, and teaching others, especially about Jewish culture.

Megillah

This is the name for giving presents to the needy. We do this to spread the spirit of Purim to everyone, not just those who can afford it. If you got this answer, it means you care about others and value giving to charity.
