On long distance

On being on your cell phone

"I would try to eliminate the phone, in general, from your relationships because it is the enemy of being present. It feels to me, when you're with someone you really love, you never look at your phone."

On telling someone you love them

"Well there are two version of this answer. I would say, 'Go for it! Do it! Tell her you love her!' But also, I'm a coward at heart and I'm wearing my mother's sweater so you can imagine. It wasn't until like 3 years to call a girl on the phone so it took awhile. I understand any sort of hesitance but you gotta go for it. Now more than ever."

On the unpredictability of love
