5 Low Budget Festivals That You Must Visit This Fall

These are some of my favorite places to visit during the Fall season. From small towns, to farms, to fairs, every festival on this list is low in price and high in fun. No matter who you are, all of these locations are perfect for an Autumn adventure.

1. Fall Festival in Sugar Loaf, N.Y.

Sugar Loaf is a small village full of beautiful shops. The village locals are extremely friendly and have so much to offer. They have tons of stores with wide varieties of items to buy. From magic shops to sock stores, I'm sure you can find that unique gift for yourself or that special someone.

My favorite thing about the Sugar Loaf Fall festival is the atmosphere. Whether you are looking to buy handmade products or just to browse throughout the stores. You can easily spend a whole day taking in everything Sugar Loaf has to offer. My second favorite thing about the Sugar Loaf Fall festival is that admission is free!

Besides the village itself, their festivals kick it up a notch with external local vendor stands, food trucks of all kinds, live music, snow cones, and so much more.

2. Great Pumpkin Festival at Heaven Hill Farm and Garden Center in Vernon, N.J.

Heaven Hills Farm's Great Pumpkin Festival is one not to be missed. It starts the 16th of September and ends the 5th of November, so there is plenty of time to stop by for a great experience. From pumpkin picking to a massive corn maze, this is the perfect Autumn outing for people of all ages.

They have animal feeding, pig races, home decor, carnival rides, carnival games, obstacle courses, costume contest, etc, all for a 10$ admission fee.

It may be hard to do everything in just one day, but that depends how lost you get in the maze.

3. Oktoberfest and Harvest Weekend at the Renaissance Fair in Tuxedo Park, N.Y.

The Renaissance Fair in Tuxedo Park is always an amazing experience, but their Oktoberfest and Harvest Weekend are definitely the highlight of the fair.

You will get to take in the beautiful Fall atmosphere, which pairs nicely with a pint from one of the many vendors. Costumed actors prowl the renaissance themed park giving constant entertainment, and dozens of ye' old shops provide the best quality goods.

The shows at the Renaissance fair are a must see. The performers are always unique and have some great talents. From the fire juggler to the comedy show "Hey Nunnie Nunnie", there is always a laugh to be had. The best part about the shows are that once you've paid for your initial ticket, which is a mere 25$, they are all absolutely free.

4. Allentown Fall Festival in Buffalo N.Y.

The Allentown Fall Festival is a great time for everyone. There is live music, a petting zoo, and vendors of all kinds. Its a great place to hangout for the day and walk around as live music from different styles of bands fill the air.

This festival is also free and it is well worth the trip.

Allentown has a rich historical background and a community that is dedicated to preserving it. Browsing the town before or after the festival will provide beautiful photo opportunities and plenty of historical information that you may have never heard before.

Allentown glows during the Fall, due to the historical buildings and the art scattered through out the town.

5. The Great Jack O’Lantern Blaze in Croton-On-Hudson, N.Y.

The Great Jack O'Lantern Blaze is truly a grand sight to see. With over 7,000 intricately carved pumpkins glowing in the night, this Halloween festival is one of a kind. The pumpkins are arranged into magnificent statutes making for the perfect light show experience. A fan favorite is the pumpkin planetarium where stargazing is encouraged. Also the headless horseman himself is known to make an appearance.

The tickets are around $20 for adults and should be bought in advance. This extremely popular event is loved by all, and therefore is known to sell out rather quickly. You don't want to miss your opportunity to attend the Great Jack O'Lantern Blaze so you should act fast!

6. So hit the road with your gallon of apple cider and some good friends.
