"Wheelchair Money" follows best friends Johnny and Whitney as they go across NYC to try to sell a Beanie Baby to pay for a new power wheelchair Johnny desperately needs.

According to the New York Times, as of 2023, only 27 percent of the NYC's 472 subway stations are ADA compliant. Where elevators exist, they are often out of service or resemble a urinal. And while much progress has been made to up the number of accessible yellow cabs, drivers regularly refuse to pick up disabled passengers in wheelchairs as street hails. Ugh!
