    Ke Hu Quan Makes History At The SAG Awards

    *This is for the Editorial Fellowship* Ke Huy Quan, star of Everything Everywhere All At Once is brought to tears after receiving a supporting actor SAG Award.

    Ke Hu Quan Becomes The First Asian Male To Win A Supporting Actor SAG Award. He dedicates his award to "everyone who has asked for change."

    Quan, a Vietnamese American actor, was beaming with joy as he became the first Asian male to win outstanding supporting actor in the film category.

    If you didn't know already, Quan's career took off when he was a child. In 1984, he played Indiana Jones' sidekick Short Round. Then, in 1985, he played Data in The Goonies.

    In his speech at the SAG Awards, Quan says the reason why he put acting on the back burner is "because there were so few opportunities," referencing the lack of opportunities for Asian actors. He motivates other actors in his position to "keep going" because "the spotlight will one day find you."

    He also won the best supporting actor award for Everything Everywhere All At Once at this years Golden Globes in January.

    Ke received his first Oscar nomination on January 24th, to which he responded, "I was jumping up and down, screaming at the top of my voice." He is truly making history and inspiring changes for Asian actors.
