If ever there was a space that reflected Brighton’s creative and vibrant atmosphere, it’s this unassuming townhouse in Regency Square. Each room in the hotel is packed with character and has it’s own unique vibe, the result of sending out an ad offering artist free board in return for their services. Choosing from the variety of rooms on offer in itself is a huge task, ranging from cosy understated doubles, to basement bunk houses, spacious apartments and luxurious boltholes with an in-room bathtub.

Nestled away on Duke Street, slap bang in the city centre (Ropewalks District), this home away from home is walking distance to a chunk of the main attractions. So, if like us you’re hangry AF on your arrival, a mere 50 metre walk will bring you to the bright lights and food chains of Liverpool One, the city’s top shopping complex.

The hotel only houses 14 bedrooms, but each is individually decorated in partnership with luxury interiors brand House of Sloane. Think bespoke velvet headboards, brilliantly patterned wallpaper, cocktail chairs and the world’s BIGGEST beds. Like, seriously huge. Ours could have fit my whole family.

Unsurprisingly, the clue’s in the name with this one, and that’s where Good Hotel London comes in. Not only do they offer an exquisite sleep with an ace view of the Thames, but they give back to communities both locally and worldwide. Pretty sweet, right? Reflecting the Docklands theme, the rooms are designed like small containers. Compact and fairly basic, you get your usual double bed and shower combo, but the tranquillity that comes with sleeping on the water is all you really need after a day of exploring the city. My favourite part was being a hop, skip and a jump away from the Emirates cable car – although I always end up being pretty terrified while I’m up there, I do adore the view (even if the weather’s not quite on my side)!
